September 21, 201411 yr ^ I don't know. Hang over from the Europa League? Fair play to Palace though.
September 21, 201411 yr It's always been against us though. People have this mad idea that United get all the decisions when that's never been the case. Go look up who's gotten the most penalties over the PL's history. You won't find United at the top, instead you'll find Liverpool followed by Arsenal. Where do you find this statistic? Would love to have a look at that.

September 21, 201411 yr . By the way it would be interested to see how many pens each teams when they 'need' them, i wouldn't be surprised if they had more from losing, drawing positions
September 21, 201411 yr United's implosion was one of the more epic I've seen - even more so than our 5-3 to Arsenal a few years back. I've said before that Leicester seem like a quietly impressive side - both Ulloa and Cambiasso seem like inspired acquisitions.
September 21, 201411 yr don't see the controversy regarding the penalty. Vardy shoulder barged rafael, a shoulder barge isn't a foul no matter how many times refs incorrectly give fouls for them. rafael the pushed him from behind, which is a foul albeit soft. Either way nice to see a decision go against man u for a change. Can't agree, I thought it was terrible reffing. It wasn't really a shoulder barge, more a shove. And then it was a massive dive. Still, very funny.

You may not have had the most pens go in your favour throughout the history of the premier league, but you have definitely had the most dodgy decisions go in your favour at the most crucial times of a match / season. I bet every fan of a Premier League side can remember when they have had a dodgy call go against them in a game against United. Spud on here can probably name more than 1.

September 21, 201411 yr Great tactical game, Great battle between Kompany and Costa and very happy with the result considering the circumstances of the red card. I'm just a little disgusted with the comments from Pellers after the game though, Something out of the Rodgers/United handbook. That's something Mancini would never have said, What's worse is him and Mourinho hugged after the game to bury their hatchet but he had to get that little dig in which in my opinion was not necessary as it wasn't that kind of game, I thought Chelsea played so well for the first 60/65 minutes, It was only 5/10 minutes prior to the red card where we started to get behind you, Before that everything was in front of you and whilst we had good intensity it means nothing, If you don't make it count.
September 21, 201411 yr I don't believe BJ even has the cheek to say that... Anyway Spurs and Everton have fallen into the same bracket as Pool and United, I think Arsenal might be able to come third for once. The fight for 4th place is going to be interesting.

And I can name loads of times when dodgy pens have been given against us and when we've been denied blatant ones too. That doesn't change the fact that Liverpool and Arsenal are awarded more than us despite people thinking the contrary is true.

Why do you have refs as manure club legends? And let's not forget Webb's contributions for your side. Sorry bub, you are in the wrong place w/ a weak sauce argument that you are making. You will get no love here.
September 21, 201411 yr Pellegrini joins Rodgers in lacking class after suffering a Jose masterclass. Surprises me that a team being set up not to get beaten causes such ire - after all you can't win anything if you're going to play hell for leather in every game regardless of the quality of the opposition - ask Van Gaal
September 21, 201411 yr from what they showed of the Everton game on MOTD2, Atsu looks very sharp. Wonder if he'll ever get a chance at the Bridge?

That doesn't change the fact that Liverpool and Arsenal are awarded more than us despite people thinking the contrary is true. It's not the penalties given that I perceive of the ref's bias towards United, but how few were given to opposing teams at OT under Ferguson. I'm sure we all remember Keane, Stam etc chasing the ref round the pitch for having the audacity to award a spot kick to the opposition. They were terrified of the wrath of Ferguson
September 22, 201411 yr If Leister want to stay up, they have to beat crap teams like Man United, and they did, why was it considered an upset? The way Everton is going, wouldn't be surprised if Lukaku says something like 'I have more ambitions than this' at the end of the season.

September 22, 201411 yr The selfish sod will be happy because"he" scored (edit.... referring to Lukaku) Edited September 22, 201411 yr by Northerner

You could sense it from the off, you were the better team but I don't think you creates enough to win it and we were defendive but poir overall in possession and passing. Draw was definitely a fair result. To be fair to Pellegrini he knows his job is probably on the line so I think he's really feeling the pressure this season. The only thing that annoys me when managers moan about opposibg teans sittibg back is there isn't only one way to play football. I'd even have a go at Jose for complaining about teams defending deep against us. Edited September 22, 201411 yr by Bobbywoodhogan
September 22, 201411 yr That's the thing, we face teams defending against us all the time...it comes with the territory...the onus was on City to win the game, but compared to February, it was them who changed tactics...we played same counter attack style and pellegrino rightly learned from that and was far more defensive himself....when they had a corner, far more players stayed back meaning that when it fell to Willian etc, there was no space to run into...but as a result of his concern, City were pretty toothless in attack overall...with fewer bodies up the pitch, very few chances were created
September 22, 201411 yr Pelle the Beatles imitation is sniveling nowadays. His thugs were outfoxed by Jose again, are on three games winless streak and counting.
September 22, 201411 yr I wouldn't exactly call that a Jose masterclass.. We were dominated from start to finish, even with 10 men they were better than us. We were lucky to get a point.
