I don't really like madrid either tbh, so it doesn't bother me what happens in that game. It would be good to see an end to end type of game though.

Questions Kinkladze.

Does the success of your season hinge on Aguero staying fit?

Will he become the greatest striker in your club's history?

PS: You do know he wanted to come to us but Mr Abramovich preferred Torres.

Sorry for the late reply fella, Just saw this now, The pace with which this thread moves on a weekend is too quick for me at times Lol

It depends what you mean by success? If you mean the Champions League then yes definitely, If he is at it against CSKA, We should be able to get 6 points against them which then means a victory against either Bayern at home or Roma away, Depending on the Bayern v Roma results of course. Our league success is not dependent on him because i don't think Dzeko, Jovetic or Dzeko and Jovetic are as big of a down grade in the league as some people think, If we stack the midfield against any of the other 14 Premier League teams we can always score 3/4 goals.

To be honest though i'm not sure i buy this theory that if Aguero stays fit we win the league because if you haven't noticed yet, Chelsea are unbeaten and if they remain unbeaten they win the league. I was with a couple of my rag and Arsenal friends and they were saying stuff like 'It's early yet, Let's wait a bit before we hand them the title' or 'If Costa gets injured they are done' yet on Saturday, Chelsea won without him, A winning streak is hard to stop no matter who plays. The only question Chelsea will face is when that unbeaten run ends, If it ever does, How do they respond? Do they have a 2/3 game blip after that and allow us to bridge the gap to 1 point or even us leading by 1 point? or does the unbeaten run end when the gap is 8 or 11 which nullifies the prospect of having a major blip?

I also think we shouldn't completely write off United's chances, They do have a huge advantage of no CL, and if you take a look at their fixtures after the Manchester Derby all the way through to the new year, Their most toughest of fixtures is Arsenal away, With no mid week excursions much like Liverpool last year, They could go on a winning streak or two of themselves.

Regards to Aguero becoming our best Striker, I think he already he is, From that goal to his consistency, Going through the list of former strikers none can compete with him. I was aware that Chelsea were linked with him, I was also aware that Barca wanted him but Guardiola preferred Alexis Sanchez from Udinese, We hit the jackpot i guess.

Hope Liverpool get stuffed by 5 or 6 goals.

Lol well cannot rule liverpool out of getting something from the game. Ludogorets gave madrid a good game.

They were a decent outfit when they came to Anfield. Much better than we were expecting, and better than some of the prem teams that turned up last season.

Anyone else hope liverpool don't get thrashed Wednesday? I don't like that happening to english teams as it makes our league seem sh*t. Unless it's us giving out the thrashing.

Really? I hope Real crush them. If it was us against Real the scousers would want the same for us. Sadly it looks like Real'll have to play without Bale.

Chelsea under Maureen, the most negative manager there is mind you, play better football than we do.

Our football hasn't been attractive since Cesc left..

Jesus if there's anything this thread has taught me it's that Liverpool fans now officially hate Chelsea more than United. Never thought I'd see the day.

Im an opposition fan so i guess im a bit biased towards my team,  but im not like many Chelsea fans who believe Mourinho does no wrong. He is fallible (like all managers are) but im going to respond to ridiculous claims  - such as the popular belief we play boring, joyless football (Just look at this season) and that there is no room for a developing player in Jose's squads/ he hates the youth etc.

Do you not think that maybe there's a reason for this "popular belief"?  I would think even the most blinkered Chelsea fan would readily admit that he organises the team to play in a very boring way.  Sure, you can call it "methodical" or "disciplined" the way we did it when Rafa was in charge at LFC but I think deep down you have to know that it's really boring for the neutral, right?

As for youth players, I think that goes hand in hand with the kinds of clubs Mourinho has chosen to work for in his career.  When you pick only the jobs that are at clubs with mega-millions to spend, over and over again, then it makes it really difficult to play youth players.  When you have a few 25-million pound signings who can't make the starting XI, why would you waste a spot on the bench for that promising 19-year old who's been doing well for the U21s?  I don't think that Jose "hates the youth," as you said, but I do think that "there is no room for a developing player in his squads" to borrow your words again.

Chelsea is a terrible place to develop as a young player, I don't see how any fan can't see that.  It's very unlikely that any of their (admittedly very promising) youth players will ever get significant first team minutes for their team, and if they don't get minutes then the odds against them developing to their full potential are much higher.  And I think the last decade or so pretty much proves that this problem isn't solved by perpetual loans, either.  It's just a fact - you are a megarich club, and megarich clubs are terrible at youth development.  'Twas ever thus, and ever thus 'twill be.

But more than any of this, the real problem with Mourinho is that he's a right d**khead.  Literally, I mean.  He has a giant dick where his head should be, it's just that it's grown in such a way that it resembles a face in most lighting.

People who attack Jose about the whole buying sucess thing really have no clue what they are on about.

One word really does shut them up and it's great to see them scrambling about trying to think up something to hit back with but they end up crawling back under the rock they came from.

That word is Porto.

Uefa Cup winners, League Champions...

Next season - Champions League winners...League champions...

Jose has done it all and won it all, he done that with money and without money.

Deal with it.

I've heard via Twitter (I know) that Bale is supposedly ruled out of Wednesday's game against Liverpool. Shame, love watching him play.

Great entertainment this weekend after a boring International break

.

Annoying that Liverpool stole a win they didn't deserve but if it is at the expense of QPR and media darling Arry Redknapp then I guess it is still very funny...

Balotelli was dire and the rest of King Brenny's summer signings also looked average

Also fascinating that Redknapp claimed Taarabt is '3 stone overweight' and has a dreadful attitude. Doesn't surprise me though .

Vargas looked sharp when he came on. I was surprised QPR could attract a player like him on loan from Napoli - his strike rate for the Chilean national side is a goal every other game

I've some sympathy for Redknapp re. Taarabt: he's the kind of player who creates openings and QPR need him now. I don't know why QPR are paying him; surely a player has a duty to keep fit? It may not be in a player's contract as it's too obvious a requirement of a player but, Jeez, what's the game coming to when a player is too overweight to run?

Re. Liverpool in the CL: It'll be tighter than many think this Wed. Liverpool won't want to be thumped and they'll raise their game out of sheer pride©.

Is he that overweight though?

I have seen the pics on the daily mail and he just looks the same to me.

Crazy a young guy would do this though, no one will touch him when his contract is done, Ok he will have made a fair bit of money but his career will be over in terms of a decent wage and club.

He doesn't look 3 stone overweight at all... Harry is a mad man. He is a terrbile pro by all accounts though, doenst seem interested at all.

According to Google he is about 12 stone. If he lost 3 stone he would be as light as a typical small framed woman who is in good shape, lol

He doesn't look 3 stone overweight. That's a lot of weight haha. He's about 12 stone. If he lost 3 stone he would be as light as a woman

Do Google weigh him on a regular basis then?

'Arry sounded properly pissed off with Taarabt. 'Arry's either a brilliant actor or Taarabt is taking the piss, imo. Redknapp's feeling the pressure no doubt but his comments sounded kosher.

I still think he will come good, that's not just because I was one of the ones that wanted to sign Balo, but I do rate him as a player.

I had to come back to you bro. I know you rate Super Mario, but personally I rather a Striker like Carlton Cole. True, Mario has bags of talent & much more than Cole, but dude doesn't always apply himself. Cole would run into a brick wall for his club. And where did Cole get his start? Chelsea my friend.

United look a lot more balanced on paper.

This is going to be a tough test next week regardless of their performance tonight

Edited by JoeyN

To be fair I think Redknapp is well within his right to criticize Taarabt like that, why should he defend and stick up for his players when they show 0 commitment. I mean I hate QPR but for a talented player he has shown 0 commitment for that club who he has been at for like 5 years now?

But what do QPR expect anyway, even now they just sign any player who has a decent record or is hinted as world class without any sort of logic in it. They just try to capture stars basically and think that will win them things, it's hardly even keeping them up, wouldn't even surprise me if they finished last this season.

However I just know for a fact Harry will save them, you just know it coming to the end of the season something will happen.

Football is just unpredictable, I know it's easy to just look at a player having a really bad start and saying this is hilarious another big amount of money squandered well done Liverpool. But I just have that gut feeling that Mario will come good.

Honestly I could be very wrong and there is strong signs that I will be very wrong haha! But football is a funny game and unpredictable so I'm just going to stick with that. But I will be delighted if I'm wrong though, I don't want that twat to come good especially for a horrible club such as Liverpool
