For a second there I thought Ty was hitting the gym

sorry to disappoint - this dude is far too negative about le arse than Ty will ever be & I hate to say it, he is right but I want Wenger to stay

To concede 3 away goals in the first leg is suicidal. So now Arsenal need to score at least 3 goals against a team who seem to enjoy defending. Can't remember his name Abdennour maybe? He looked like he loved every single challenge he made today, I was fairly impressed tbh.

Crazy Arsenal once again and to think after their masterclass (or fluke) against Man City I considered a flutter on them to win the league. I can only thank God I got that idea out my head asap. Why on earth would Mertesacker run past the half way line (David Luiz esque) when Monaco were on a break. To make it worse the player he left he had little chance of keeping up with in the first place allowing him a free run and time to pick a pass and find Berbatov who scored with his only touch in the box, which isn't too bad if you ask me.

Games like these remind me that although we're generally quite boring in these types of games we wouldn't concede 3 at home unless it's a rare occasion and you're called Tottenham. We are very very lucky to have Jose who still is the undisputed special one.

Last time Monaco played a game against such inept opponents, ranieri was fcuking up our champions league semi final..that was away from home though, arsenal were simply horrendous tonight

Pick a 10% fit Veron in central midfield, put Scott Parker and then Robert Huth at right back, Hasselbaink on one wing, Crespo on the other and hope it all works out.

The tinkerman's worst attempt at tinkering.

Wenger Just Sat There Fiddling With His Zip !!! - Arsenal 1 Monaco 3:

I've got a bit of sympathy with the bloke, even if he is a Gooner. He seems utterly dejected and calls some issues with Arsenal.

.

I don't after a comment he made about Cech.

Arsenal are such a strange team, they couldn't get it any easier and they lose like that.

They came up against a team who were organised, motivated and hard working. The polar opposite of them!

In many ways Monaco played it like Jose would have...defensively well organised and hit on the counter...big difference of course is Jose would be blasted for parking the bus, whereas the media this am are praising Monaco for their display

Brilliant from The Guardian's Barney Ronay this morning:

First Welbeck provided a whiff of Essence of Welbeck, rolling his man superbly, sprinting clear, panicking, and hoofing his shot over the bar.

Those video's are like porn to some of us CFC fans  :laugh2:

They are good. Everyone must have a favourite character by now?

Should get a nomination at the BAFTAs for Best British Sitcom.

So looks like it's down to us to save the reputation of the Premier League in Europe.. AGAIN.

Funny that all other English fans call us scum but without us the Premier League would probably only be allowed 3 teams in the Champions League now because the co-efficeint would have suffered so much from years of group stage and Round of 16 exits.

We're the only English club worth anything in Europe now.

I wouldn’t speak too soon... I think we have the best chance however on current form of us Arsenal and City .. Monaco and Barca would have torn us or PSG apart.

We really need to step up a gear now hopefully starting this weekend.

Arsenal have the players to win well in Monaco, so it's not over yet.

However what is reassuring is that Monaco only conceded 2 goals since the groups started so will need to ship at least 2 for the goons to go through.

Arsenal need 3 without reply.

I'm sure you'll all be shocked to hear that Liverpool fans are offended.

The crime?

Official sponsor Dunkin' Donuts replaced the Hillsborough eternal flames on the clubs logo as part of a lighthearted promotion.
