September 21, 20169 yr I think he has the potential to chip in with 10+ goals in a season. He is a very good finisher. Hope he starts playing with more intensity.
September 21, 20169 yr I do really like RLC and I'm sure that we can all see that there's a player in there somewhere..it's just not clicking for him yet and he's not showing enough. He needs to be careful that time doesn't pass him by. At the minute he has the clubs backing but they will soon move onto the next "great academy hope" - see Josh Macheran (can't spell) as an example. Cahbolah showed far more in his 40 mins last night. Personally I think a loan where he can play matches would be more beneficial that sitting on the bench. The guy is 21/22 - he has start showing something.
September 22, 20169 yr Come on, mate... Your're almost as bad as Paul Merson. (Cahbolah?) Cha-lo-bah! :] You used to call Bosingwa 'Bazinga', didn't you? Edited September 22, 20169 yr by Kante Conte

I don't think it is fair to compare Chalobah's 40 mins against a Leicester side down to 10 men and drained of confidence and energy with RLC's performance against fresh confident Leicester.
September 22, 20169 yr I can't see him improve playing 1 game every month. We either sell a Mikel or Oscar to give him a chance, or send him on loan to an EPL team ( if anyone wants him)
September 23, 20169 yr When he's on the ball and going forward, you can see there's a bit of class about him. It would be good to see him get regular football and improve his fitness at the very least.

October 15, 20169 yr looks like nate is ahead of him in the pecking order now loan move on january would be smart, difficult to see him getting minutes
October 15, 20169 yr Honestly speaking, what is he good at? I can't even say he's jack of all trades..

I think thats being harsh, he is technically superb, his first touch is his main strength in my opinion. I think his biggest problem is where is his best position. He cant dominate the centre of the pitch in senior football like he has done in youth football, and he doesnt get into the box enough to be a lampard type, nor is his passing sharp enough to be a fabregas type. I think he has the quality to be as good as he wants to be, but whether he has the drive to do that is questionable. I know some have a problem with his languid style, and for me he should be watching video after video of Michael Ballack and try and emulate the way he was always available to play off and knew when to go forward, when to hold etc.

I've seen enough of RLC to be sure about it. Even today he was basically standing when the team was without the ball. Chalobah and Aina were running around, pressing and this guy just struts around like he's on a morning stroll. Who the hell does he think he is and what has he accomplished so far?

I dont think he is lazy, I just think he doesnt have the football brain and the concentration level needed to move into space when he doesnt have the ball. I`m pretty sure you dont get to that level of football being lazy,
October 15, 20169 yr Part of the problem is he keeps getting moved around, he's been a B2B in the youth side, Mourinho played him as a DM & Conte's been playing him piecemeal as a striker or N.10. Keep in mind Chalobah has played 100 senior games and I think RLC should join the loan army with someone that will play him consistently in the same position wherever it is.
October 15, 20169 yr You got one fan saying his only attribute is his strength, and another saying he's lazy, that tells me none of us have seen anywhere near enough minutes of him playing in the first team to judge him. He just needs games . Six games on the trot, stick with him, watch the improvements start to come.
October 15, 20169 yr 1 hour ago, Rusty-Man said: One is taking their chances, the other didn't. One has played more than 100 games at a senior level. RLC is still very much learning his trade, the step up from youth team level to Premier League is enormous. Ruben requires a good loan whereby he gets minutes under his belt similar to Abraham, only then can we truly judge him.
October 15, 20169 yr He has a languid style that comes across as lazy, but i think the biggest flaw in his game, is a lack of intensity, but it is hard for him to be play at premier league pace when he hasnt even cut his teeth in senior football. Very very raw, but with his whole career ahead of him. I think he should drop down a division and learn to influence games at tbat level first. Chalobah is definitely ahead in his development, and i would think lewis baker will be a more rounded and developed player by the end of the sewson too.
October 15, 20169 yr Lewis Baker is a more developed player. Definitely a loan should be on the cards for him. Minutes is what he needs and maybe a change of culture in a different country. All experience is good experience.
October 15, 20169 yr All I can say is, he's not a player Guardiola or Klopp would buy, although I think Pochettino would. Take from that what you will.

Who the hell does he think he is and what has he accomplished so far? This. 90thminute. A rare Leicester attack. Alonso (I think) clears the ball out of our box. Rlc is about 10 meters inside our own half. Instead of chasing after the ball and pressing the cbs down, rlc just strolls about. Nate on the other hand, sprints right down the middle, closes the cb down forcing him to go to schemicheal, who then clears the ball. Next shot - rlc is standing in the starting circle. All this when rlc had a 15-20 meter head start. If this is rlc's way of making an impact, then he is in some trouble
October 16, 20169 yr Can't see any PL team loaning him & giving him enough mins. His wages would prevent any championship team from touching him. Still insist he should have gone abroad at the beginning. As things stand he has wasted another season.
October 17, 20169 yr He's basically just a young Yaya Toure. Got everything in the locker to be truly world class but isn't the type of player to track back or keep position. In a tram with a free role he could dominate.
December 6, 20169 yr Will probably get a run out in the FA cup 3rd round, but safe to say at this point that he's obviously not impressing Conte as Chalobah has now taken his place on the bench.
