Would fit in perfectly to the Baka role. Its been obvious for years that he'd be brilliant in a three man midfield. Shame everyone wrote him off because he couldn't break into a two man midfield. I'm sure Conte will give him a chance next year.

Him and Cesc together in midfield would be a carcass feast defensively, even with Kante as the 3rd man. Ruben's best hope of making it is carry on his current trajectory, prove himself when he returns then we can look at a gradual changeover between him and Cesc.

Seems very odd to me the way we spend £30 million on drinkwater while we have this guy out on loan.

Drinkwater has played well since arriving but it would have been interesting too see how ruben would do for us this season in danny's role

I think they would complement each other rather than replace each other.

I think too, with Fabregas's passes and the physically and technical of Loftus Cheek with behind them Kante, that could be monstrous

this guy makes Drinkwater look like a waste of money. I know Bakayako has been poor he is still young and its his first season. RLC could play in a 3 man midfield i believe, its worth a try. Drinkwater like Zappacosta are just a waste of money, and i know its not my money but it actually annoys me went we waste money on players that dont benefit us. Saved ourselfs £50M by playing Ola Aina and RLC.

Drinkwater has been class in every game he has played. Loftus Cheek is looking good BECAUSE we sent him on loan. 

Loftus Cheek needed a season at Palace otherwise he would never get into the first team although I still dont think he is anywhere near good enough for our side. Just because Bakayoko is doing badly doesnt make Loftus Cheek a better player.

Badly is my guess. Just like he did when he played for us every other time. Needs the minutes at top flight.

Drinkwater hasn't been class he's been good and steady. Didn't say RLC is a better player than Bakayako but i know he wouldn't of been that bad and never has been when he's played for us plus RLC looks a better player on the ball than Bakayako. If an academy player had put in the performances Bakayako has put in everyone would be saying he isn't good enough and should go out on own and we would likely never see him again. But because Bakayako cost £40M he will get plenty more chances.

I think Cesc-Kante-RLC would work wonders. Kante to hold and break up play, Cesc to spray passes and RLC to play a box to box role and break forward with the ball. RLC's defensive work rate has been fantastic for Palace.

MOTM performance on his debut against a flying Liverpool side. Don't chat sh*t like RLC was awful every time he played for Chelsea. The vast majority of times he played well when starting. Looked poor when given 10 minutes at the end of a game by Moron-inho.

How you can know that if he was stay, he doesn't play ? Last year he had lot of injury more. 

Now he plays he looks very good, not only good. He was call with national team so he plays with the lastest of the league....

How good is he at winning the ball back though? Bakayoko at times tracks back a lot as well but then puts in a lazy tackle or a stupid foul, or like against United he was perfect at winning the ball back. You can see he is inconsistent but the potential is there for him to be that perfect box to box midfielder.

We also have to remember we have Luiz whose CB role has probably been nicked by Christensen and since he plays the DM role well maybe he will take over in midfield. Kante, Luiz, Cesc midfield for me this season.

Interviewed on sky with Zaha and said Gerrard was the best out of him, Lampard and Scholes.

I hope not, Luiz is awful in midfield unless we are playing strictly on the counter.
