If he does that then it's a different story. He has one goal and 0 assists? I've watched him, I also watched the England game he played where he was massively overhyped afterwards.

It is his first season playing regularly, my point is be needs two and ideally the second in a better team.

If he wasn't a Chelsea player no one would be suggesting we sign him to replace Baka. Do you agree?

Everybody fan of football see that he has a great talent, no need to play for Chelsea, or whatever club.

If you saw all his games, it's impossible that you talk like that about him, because normally is has already 4 or 5 assists if he played with great player, how many time Benteke messed up his assists ? If it's Morata it's goal.

How fickle we are in football

with regards to Ruben, the stats are a bit misleading because if you have watched him you will have seen him put a number of chances on a plate for players to miss sitters ... let's put it like this, Hazard was absaloutly magical yesterday, a pleasure to watch, but he finished the game with zero goals and zero assists ... and if not for willian emulating another famous brazililan he would likely have been on the loosing team.. RLC has stood out in the games he's played, he has dictated play and i expect if we don't get him back in we will eventually be talking about him as we do KDB and friends .

how ever I take issue with the Barkley comment, Barkley was scintillating when he bused on to the sceane some 4 seasons back, second coming of Rooney and Gaza and this forum to a man wanted him badly ... for one reason or another he's gone of the boil... he's at the wrong club, and had the wrong managers... not saying we are the right club but he has the talent to play for a top 6 team

Been to a few Palace games this season as well as our own! RLC has been good in a poor team but is still quite passive without the ball when Palace have possession and needs to work hard when they don’t have the ball.

Highly doubt that.

I dont, our board always seem to think someone is better than what we have in our ranks coming through. We nearly bought John Stones for £50M when we had Christensen coming through. Thats just one example, buying Baba Rahman when we could of just kept Bertrand is another example.

And a lot of posters are the complete opposite. I know who is right more often than not, and it's not this forum.

If Ruben was owned by Palace he wouldn't be on 1 single Chelsea fans radar, when was the last time any Chelsea fan wanted to sign the best player in the worst team?

Hazard got the assist against Liverpool

Stats are misleading

Ross Barkley case and point.

You on about the club? I thought you meant the fans.

Loic Remy

I know we technically signed Remy from QPR, but it was his pedigree at Marseille and Newcastle that made him attractive.

Cahill?

From what i remember not many actually wanted him, and if we were told in advance he was going to be first choice (it was assumed he was cover only) i imagine serious meltdowns would have occured.

The guy looks very impressive and has to get his chance next season if he keeps it up.

But he still needs to prove himself, I know it's difficult for him to get assists & goals at a team like Palace, but it's also not difficult for him to stand out in a bad team. That's something Steven Gerrard did for years. I would like to see how he fares with being next to Kante in midfield, that has to be his future position, CM.

Let's let him finish his season with Palace for see what's he will bring. Now that he scored I think that will be more easy for him

Agree, it is a world cup season let him play regularly for Palace understand the demands of playing a whole season rather than destabilising him and risk him losing his confidence at CFC by not being a definite starter. That way if we bring him back at the end of the season we can offer him a proper role or recoup money by selling for a reasonable fee. A whole season should help with that decision.

I know we should probably let him finish out the season at Palace, but with the way thatBakayoko is playing, i think he would have a real shot of becoming a starter here,THIS season, he really is that good, and he could be extremely helpfull for us in the Knockout stages of the CL, a midfield of Kante, Ruben and Fabregas is dreamworthy, although Ruben would have to improve his workrate a little bit to make it work.

I watched a bit of him today I think he had an average game. The manager has stuck him out of position on the left wing which he doesn't suit him but shores up the midfield. Didn't contribute that much. Hard to argue with the results though so I think he is going to stay there.

I think he would struggle in our team, I don't think his style suits our play. Certainly he has a lot to improve in his game. Needs to shoot more and be a bit selfish.
