Are our rivals about to catch or overtake us?

Well they was arguing among themselves again today, you do get the impression there are a lot if individuals in that City squad rather than a great team ethic which is epitomised by Yaya Toure and his constant petulant behaviour.

Kompany isn't a great leader because he isn't composed enough.

I don't think City are a team with great character as they themselves like to believe. When you look at their key players, Kompany, Toure, Aguero, Silva, Zabaleta, I would only describe Zabaleta as having great character and perhaps Aguero also.

You can add Supah Frank in that category as well. Think about how many points back Citeh would be w/out Supah Frank? It takes a Chelsea Legend to keep that side in the Title hunt if you ask me.

He alone must have won them 8 or 9 points this season.

Feel like yesterday could turn out to be a significant day in the title race. 7 points is a lot at this point, and given City's run in I feel fairly confident that we will see this through.

So Everton at home for us Wednesday whilst City go to Stoke. Both tricky games in their own rights, we could quite conceivably add to to our lead. Does anyone know if Yaya Toure and Bony will be back for that?

Final is today, I guess it depends on them

I'm not writing off anything yet. 7 points is nice but we quickly messed up our gap last time around so we could easily do the same again. If the players stay on top form and we don't have any injuries then we have a hell of a chance.

Possibly but will they be ready for it? They have the final to play which could seemingly go 120 minutes (here's hoping it does) and if they win it they're sure to party afterwards.

City's next 5 league games

Stoke (A)

Newcastle (H)

Liverpool (A)

Leicester (H)

Burnley (A)

Out of those you're probably thinking Stoke and Liverpool away are the games where they might drop points if any.

Only that they have their Champions League fixtures wedged in there too might they take their eye off the ball but mainly I think it's important we don't drop many points ourselves over the next five games.

After seeing the way city have been playing, they could easily drop points in any of those games; even when toure was in the side they were far from unbeatable. Stoke, Newcastle and Liverpool will, on paper, be their toughest fixtures, but as we all know, the unexpected is always possible in the EPL. It could end up being the latter two fixtures which are their toughest.

Yeah, once we are ten points clear with 3 games to go, i will be a lot more at ease, but until that time we can't be comfortable with a 7 point lead. It only takes us to slip up once, get a draw and city to win those two, then they are up our ass again.

You can bet they will. They've not won the AFCON since 1992 despite having easily the best squad of players in Africa for years.

It's in our hands, that's all you can say about it..psychology plays a big part...only takes us to lose one game and citeh to win and the gap is back down to four and that doesn't seem that big..we lost eight points to them before Xmas over a few weeks, so let's not get carried away...but we are in a great position

Their key-players are Kompany, Zabaleta, Toure and Silva. Everything goes through them. One player is missing and the team hurts. Look at how they are doing without Yaya.

They have an excellent squad and a good manager. I think what favours us this year is we have so many young guys who want the title so much. City just won the title and they want to succeed in CL.

ManU will be among City and us next season.

I think a certain Argentinian may be a bit offended at not being considered a key player for City!!

We are apparently not very good, certainly not fantastic. So says Samir Nasri:

Maybe we should just give up to City then? lol.

They do love to talk about us don't they?

Cut him a bit of a break - he did play under the Voyeur for 3 years.
