October 1, 20187 yr Would Courtious have made it Sarri’s team? I think not. Modern teams keepers that can play with their feet
October 3, 20187 yr He can’t even get into Real Madrid’s first 11. He was on the bench again last night.

You could understand if he was quite young or new to the country and the league but he isn't any of those things. To me the purchase of Courtois was a way for Real to buy a high profile player to appease fans somewhat after the sale of Ronaldo without having to spend big money. Madrid have really reigned in their spending over the last few years, the galatico era seems to be at an end.

If it's a straight choice between the two, money is no object, I reckon they'd go for Neymar because the chance to get one over on Barca by signing their former player would be too good to turn down I reckon. Hazard's going to sign a new contract with us before the end of the season anyway so I wouldn't worry.
October 22, 20187 yr A lot of Madrid fans turning on him recently, doesn't take much with them lot. Wonder if Courtois regrets his decision.
October 22, 20187 yr Considering how much fuss was being made I was quite surprised to see that Real are only four points off top. Having just lost one of their all-time great players, and a hugely popular manager with unprecedented success in Europe, a bit of turbulence was surely inevitable? El Clasico this weekend mind, I expect that will be pivotal to Real's season one way or the other. That being said... haw haw

That being said... haw haw Its worse than it looks when you look at their last 5 matches. 4 losses and a draw and smashing a record for the longest time without a goal in Madrid history. With no sign of improving its definitely panic stations over there at the moment.

October 22, 20187 yr F* him, already way over him. We have a younger GK at his level, who could actually pass the ball.

October 26, 20187 yr I lolled... https://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/2018/10/26/18021994/desperate-courtois-left-pale-at-the-suggestion-of-conte-coming-to-real-madrid-report Desperate Courtois left pale at the suggestion of Conte coming to Real Madrid — report Courtois would not be happy if Conte (or Mourinho) followed him to Real Madrid “I cannot believe it!” They heard him say. ”Here I am the only one who has worked with Conte and with Mourinho. I left London to not have to go through something like that again and now it turns out that Conte comes, and if not, Mourinho.”

October 28, 20187 yr I hope he's happy with the atmosphere and the fans. 10th at La Liga, I think we will meet them at Europe League.

October 28, 20187 yr I read this quote in 'Loinventé': Courtois: "The club has been going downhill since Mikel left. Courtois: "I am the only player who has played in front of both Kroos and Mikel, and only one of them has won a continental trophy. Courtois: "If we carry on like this we're going to end up signing De Bruyne, I didn't force him out of Stamford Bridge for this."
October 29, 20187 yr Turns out that betraying Atletico Madrid and Chelsea may not have been worth it after all, huh Thibaut? Suck it in.
October 29, 20187 yr I have always said it, he is easy to score goals against, and with an open defense like Real Madrid's, this weakness will be exposed even more. He has only ever looked good when he has played with good defenses. Shoot hard and low and you will always have a good chance to score against him, even more so if you aim for his near post.
October 29, 20187 yr I’m glad we got rid of him, I think he would have struggled under Sarri too. Kepa isn’t the best in the world but he is far more suited for Sarriball. Courtois is far from a decent bloke, the way he handled this transfer, moving to Real despite having won over A.Madrid fans while he was there, trying to get Hazard to join him, etc etc. He’s a prick and what he’s going through right now, that’s the least he deserves. I am glad he’s being shown up for what he is, I wonder how long until RM go back in for De Gea?
