September 22, 201510 yr People are saying Costa also deserved a yellow for waving an imaginary yellow, which is fair enough. But isn't the Wenger and media clamour for a red for Costa exactly the same thing as what they are saying is wrong when Costa waves the imaginary card? Double standards? Surely not. Media backed Arsenal against Roman? Surely not.
September 22, 201510 yr It tells you the measure of folk. Some rival fans join us because they want to; some appear just to gawp and gloat when there's a bump in the road.
September 22, 201510 yr ARSENAL FAN HERE. Some of you lot are really something else. FA bias against Chelsea eh? L.M.A.O. I suppose Mike Dean never got the memo then. Open your eyes ffs, Costa is nothing more than a dirty, cheating, wind up merchant. Literally everyone (including your own player Zouma, bless him) but Chelsea fans sees this clear as day. Fair play to the few of you who admitted that Costa is dirty. The rest of you....lol. I guess his antics towards Koscielny (two handed slap to the face, one handed swipe to the face, chest pump) were somehow completely legal in your world. Those wimps over at Arsenal eh. Oh and all the match goers, please keep chanting Diego Diego Diego everytime Costa stamps on someone shins, spits on them, slaps them in the face, headbutts them, scratches them like a rabid feline etc. etc. like you've been doing. It helps the football world identify what type of people are supporting your club. This isn't directed to all of you, saw some very reasonable posts here. You said it, your team has been a bunch of wimps for years, it's one of the main reasons that we always beat you, gone are the days where you had tough players like Viera, now you just roll over and die nearly everytime we play you, then you moan about lack of class etc..you're like the scousers of London. Costa can be dirty, I'm not going to deny that, he can go too far, but it's okay then when your players are diving like Koscielny and trying to get him in to trouble, or did you just choose not to watch that part? As for fans chanting Diego, of coarse we're going to support our striker, we don't just chant his name everytime he gets in trouble, you know what type of people support Chelsea, people who don't don't give a fu** what gooners like you have to say, go back to the Arsenal forum. September 22, 201510 yr can we get the FA to take retrospective action against grandpa wenger loosing his dummy, wondering over into jose's area and brutally pushing jose last season? 12 match ban anyone? no wait that would be for Jose for getting brutally pushed in the first place, silly me haha jeee wizzers
September 22, 201510 yr Hey folks Arsenal fan here. Just wanted to come onto your forum cause I have nothing else better to do with my time and spunk out complete and utter drivel all over the place in a misguided attempt at making myself feel better about my lonely and pathetic life. LOUD FART NOISE Oh no! I just realized that fart was the only substantive thing I managed to do ALL f**kING DAY.
September 22, 201510 yr Only Wenger is allowed to raise his hands and criticise the ref dontcha know. Costa was always getting a ban I don't expect consistency from the F.A. so can't get too upset. A few games out of the limelight won't hurt Costa. Perhaps Wenger will stop his whingeing for a bit now.
September 22, 201510 yr Given arse are in a race with Everton for the dirtiest team in the pl, as in most red cards, bit rich to be lectured by an arsenal fan on the ethics of the beautiful game
September 22, 201510 yr All this fighting just covers up his poor form. Goal against Maccabi aside, he's been awful so far this season, so much breaks down when the ball reaches him, he looks slow and clumsy and doesn't shoot when the opportunity arises, instead taking too many touches or passing responsibility off to someone else. He needs the cut the sh*t and focus on actually playing well and scoring goals, that's what he's paid to do. Glad someone highlighted this.
September 22, 201510 yr I used to think we were a bit over the top regarding decisions against us.. but this is a media and premier league vendetta against our club no question....uefa tried to stop us winning the champions league unsuccessfully and now the powers that be in England are trying to do the same.....disgracefull.. and im not defending costa ...who didn't do himself or us any favours..
September 22, 201510 yr I suppose Mike Dean never got the memo then. Open your eyes ffs, On Mike Deans officiating can you really claim Gabriel and Carzola didn't deserve their sendings off? I'd would say no (FA disagrees about Gabriel but from what the ref saw its a red card) Decisions he didn't make 1. Costa could have been sent off. Probably should have been, the flailing arms into Koscielny deserved a yellow and the antics with Gabriel could have been a yellow and the imaginary card should also be a yellow but is rarely even given, so on balance should possibly be off and the chest bumb is no where near a yellow and I don't get why people mention it. The scratch as pathetic as it was and how unharmful a scratch is can also be considered violent conduct but will never have been seen by the ref and thus the only reason for the retrospective ban. 2. Koscielny could very easily have seen red, firstly a two footed late tackle which could have easily seen red (and on the radio match commentary so 'unbiased' they thought it was a definite red card so not even my opinion), and then there was also a definite yellow later on neither of which even saw a card. 3. the were 2 penalty appeals for Chelsea both of which could easily have been given. I don't really see how you can claim the ref showed any bias to Chelsea if anything it should have been a harsher towards Arsenal Rather than take you anger out on the ref and Costa for another poor showing from Arsenal against Chelsea. I would do some soul searching closer to home and look at how your team approaches these big games and what your team needs to do to improve as you can't blame Costa and the ref in every big game and for all of those that have proceeded it, but this is just a 'bias Chelsea thug' responding to your almighty unbiassed view on the game, our club and the FA.

September 22, 201510 yr the 3 match ban for Costa was inevitable but I can't understand why Gabriel's red has been rescinded - he made a deliberate kicking motion at an opponent off the ball; is that not worth at least a yellow - which would have been a second yellow? overall though I agree with Danny Murphy on MOTD about this - there was nothing in any of the contact between Costa and Arsenal players that justified a red card for anyone I think the game has got too fussy over incidental contact - this game used to be played by men, let them get on with it
September 22, 201510 yr Author How exactly is Mike Dean officiating again in the Premier League this weekend if he's bosses are effectively saying you missed one major decision and got another completely wrong? Really not a fan of ever increasing amounts of retrospective officiating.
September 22, 201510 yr Diegos fault completely If he gives the FA a chance to nail him they will, they don't want him bringing the game and the FA into disrepute and his antics were all over the press and TV last few days He needs to realise his job is to play and help us win games for CFC, not creat havoc, give us bad press, get suspended and sit on his well paid backside We love home when he is good but he needs to step and cut out the crap Come on Diego, pull your weight
September 22, 201510 yr I think Arsenal players and fans have traded in their snoods for dummies, all they do is moan after a loss, about lack of class etc...

Ah that's the crux of it though..from Wenger to their deluded fans, Costa has been the convenient scapegoat for why they lost to chelsea in a game that matters (no glorified pre-season friendly like the poxy community shield) again...fair play, their snivelling won a small victory in the boardroom at fa headquarters, but there is nothing they can do to cover up the fact they're not going to be good enough in the league and champions league again
September 22, 201510 yr i agree with people saying that Costa needs to cut out the cr*p - he reminds me of Didier when he first arrived. For a while Didier would just fall over at every contact, some might suggest he dived. Diego looks similar to me, he's still getting the measure of the game in England - what's allowed, what's not. I reckon he'll soon tune himself in to the on field culture here and become a goal scoring monster
September 22, 201510 yr I'd love to have the resource to go through the weekends games and see how many times a centre forward done something similar. Another thing I always wonder is what drives the FA to look at retro incidents? I.e Wengers comments etc
September 22, 201510 yr Exactly, People are forgetting this is exactly how costa plays and always will. Arsenal couldnt handle him and then resorted to winding him up and ended up with 2 of their players off!! End of the day all the arsenal sh1t stirring has worked, Because of the joke 'FA' actually entertaining all the BS in the first place, Which creates a never ending chain reaction Just like fouls, If the refs didn't entertain all the bs and told players to put their nickers back in there shorts and get up, They wouldn't be flopping about like a fresh catch of salmon every week! A players job is to do all he can to win and if that means winding defenders up, playing for the foul or penalty, then that is the players mission!!
September 22, 201510 yr How exactly is Mike Dean officiating again in the Premier League this weekend if he's bosses are effectively saying you missed one major decision and got another completely wrong? Really not a fan of ever increasing amounts of retrospective officiating. And thats a big thing right here. If a panel have to retrospectively deal with 2 major incidents in the game, the ref needs to be sanctioned in some form. That not occuring brings the game into disrepute in itself, in my opinion.a Edited September 22, 201510 yr by Barry Bridges
September 22, 201510 yr A considered piece from one of our top journalists. The final word on the matter for me. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/chelsea/11879887/Diego-Costa-betrayed-football-for-Chelsea-against-Arsenal-and-provoked-FA-into-action.html
