QPR vs Chelsea (PL) 12/04/2015 KO: 13:30 GMT

Featured Replies

I don't think we necessarily need Arsenal to drop points against Burnley; even if we draw and they don't we still maintain a healthy lead (and a game in hand), plus we know for a fact that one or both of Man Utd and Man City are going to drop points.

Hopefully we bend QPR over and make them look like the amateurish shell of a team that they really are. If we get three points we come out of the weekend as the biggest winners (assuming no injuries, suspensions, etc.) regardless of everyone else's results, simply because they have one game fewer to close the gap.

I'd take the draw here with Matic and Fabregas coming through without a booking and then focus on the United match. Then it's a park the bus job at Arsenal and I'd be very happy with 5 points from those matches.

I thought Arsenal had Man Utd... I'm so nervous I can't even concentrate on the basics!

I went to a game at Loftus Road way back in 1986 as a teenager.

I remember the smell of celery was everywhere, the ground was 3/4 chels but somehow we lost to them 6-0 (I was there when we were sh*t)

It got funny towards the end and we all just sang "we love you chelsea" non stop for the last 10 minutes round the whole ground - even half the QPR end was chelsea - , you wouldn't know there was a QPR fan in the ground.

Reverse of that scoreline would be good. Remy and Haz to get a he trick each?

Yeah I was in the paddock that day with my QPR supporting brother.

He was the only one jumping around cheering when Bannister was scoring all his goals.(He stood

out a bit as well being 6'4.Brave lad)!!!!

its a dangerous fixture imo

1st off its an early Sunday KO in an extremely hostile atmosphere

2nd they are fighting tooth & nail to avoid the drop, from suddenly looking irreversibly trousers they are

finding form and scoring

Need 3 points to peg the Arse back, but I'd be very surprised to see those points earned easily,

don't think the keeper will be dropped or Matic/ Fab rested to avoid a card, but one thing I do know there

will be DRAMA sometime in the 90

Jose already has stated that Matic & Cesc will be starting - not sure about the GK situation

Jose says Chelsea need points and cannot pick and choose matches, so he does not consider leaving players out on Sunday. #CFC

I agree w/ Jose's statement here

Jose says nobody is expecting an easy match

This will no doubt be a very tough game. QPR are in the bottom 3 but they are fighting for their survival, they hate us and they would love to slow down our title charge.

We will need to be on top of our game to win here. I'm not expecting a pretty game at all, i'll take any kind of win to be honest.

good point - also a win vs The Chels most likely lifts the bums out of the relegation zone - another reason to win is to guide those bums to the Championship

Let's all try and stay positive on here when posting during the game! We were all together at the bridge last Saturday and it wasn't all going our way then. C'mon u Blues!!!

In the last few games QPR have shown their attacking quality but also what a shambles they are at the back, really have to be at our best defensively.

Going to a hostile ground like that with horrible cretinous fans and getting a result is what makes champions. Lets smash them

By all accounts Charlie Austin shouldnt even be playing in this match after that horrendous tackle last week....but then again he,s not a chelsea player.. :indifferent0018:

Tomorrow's starting lineup;

                Courtois

Ivanovic - Cahill - JT - Dave

          Fabregas - Matic

  Cuadrado - Willian - Hazard

                  Remy

Assuming QPR persist with 4-4-2 we'll control possession and make it look easy... 3-0.

I would love to see that team. But if Oscar gets dropped, I can see Ramires coming in for him.

Either way, we should win this one I feel. This is QPHa's home form: DLLLLL. Our away form: DLWWWW

It's not going to be easy, but we should win. Come on you Blues!

I hope our players don't have this kind of mentality especially against a team like QPR... we should be gunning for all 9 points over three matches not even 7 would do. We are more than capable of beating these teams...

Yes but at what cost?  We don't want to see our flair players picking up knocks in a dog fight. Put 5 past QPR and then flop against Man U? I don't think so. We've seen City blow hot and cold over the last couple of months, and I suspect we may see other top 4 teams hit the buffers before the end. Jose only ever does the bare minimum required, and that strategy has put us where we are. We've been so frustrating, and often dull, this season, but look where we are!
