Official player of the year vote is open

Featured Replies

So here we go, who gets it for you...after giving it some thought, cos there are so many worthy candidates, I have gone for JT...one of his best ever seasons, his leadership has been immense and an amazing feat to start every game at 34...think over the years he hasn't had much recognition in terms of awards cos his high level is almost taken for granted...that should t be the case this season...

Anyway this is where you can vote:

http://www.chelseafc.com/teams/player-of-the-year-2015.html

Not sure I like how they have weighted votes...ie as a member mine counts x2, a season ticket holder x3 and neither just x1...perhaps it's to prevent outsiders stuffing up vote but not a fan...not sure why a the opinion of a season ticket holders carries more weight over mine

I voted Terry. Hazard already got the players player of the year and could well win the football writers player of the year, fans player of the year and Premier League player of the year. I think Terry deserves an award for the season he has had.

Another JT vote from me.

Would be nice to see him get to show that even though he was criminally overlooked for the PotY voting with players like Courtinho inexplicably making the shortlist ahead of him the Chelsea fans fully appreciate what he has done for the team this season.

Think I might split my votes between JT and Ivanovic.

Part of me thinks that the voting should be limited to members and season ticket holders to avoid any messing with the vote and avoiding a Balotelli situation. Think the weighting should go a bit further too. If that was the case then I think JT would be a shoe-in but I can see Hazard winning this which is perfectly deserved but a touch disappointing.

I'm hoping Ivanovic gets recognition, possibly in the players vote.

Looks like a lot of folk have switched to JT in the last week!!

Our Captain is a Legend and has had a great season (possibly one of his best?) and in the last few weeks has got rave reviews and come under the spotlight.

But for the whole season, I would still have to go with Hazard. It is hard to evaluate JT if he wasn't there as who knows how we would have done without him (not as well obviously). It is easier with Hazard. Without him we would NOT have won the league. The lad keeps on improving and has made the major contribution to this seasons success. Just feel he is unlucky as his form has dipped slightly in the last couple of weeks and now people are voting.

So Hazard, just ahead of JT for me.

Don't think we would have won the league without JT either.

He's every bit as important as Hazard IMO, Hazard obviously is the match winner who makes the difference where it matter but JT is a rock and never underestimate how important it is to a team to have a born leader in it who in his 30's is every bit as consistant and realiable as he was in his mid 20's.

Hazard has rightly been named POTY from his fellow pro's, Terry deserves this one IMO.

It's not so much ignoring what Hazard has achieved or contributed this season but after he picked up the PotY award it would be nice to see another member of the squad recognised by the fans.

I can't speak for anyone else but JT alongside his stellar performances at the back has continually shown throughout the season how much this title means to him as an individual.

His celebrations after the away games to QPR and Arsenal are what us fans love to see in our captain and it's for that why he is my Fans' Player of the Year.

Agreed.

Also don't know about anyone else but I was always gonna vote JT for the CFC POTY award anyway, even a few months back.

Always bemuses me how Rio Ferdinand makes the racsim incident involve him.

It was between Terry and Anton Ferdinand but every time Rio speaks about it you could be forgiven for thinking that it was him that was directly involved.
