February 28, 201610 yr You can add sterling to that list..£49m? You're having a laugh A sprinter in football boots, never rated him.
February 28, 201610 yr I don't see a difference between Stirling or Navas, they're all pace and not alot else. Infact you can use that to describe most wingers nowadays.
February 28, 201610 yr Congrats to our resident city fan. Glad our attempts to jinx Liverpool worked. Lol
February 28, 201610 yr Good on City, should have won it in normal time but losing in penalty would be pure injustice. The scousers will probably hail Klopp as a genius if he won the penalty lottery. LVG's luck has turned, no way he was going to play Rashford if Marital was injured on Thursday, what a impact! I just wish we gave our young players a go when things were sh1t in the first half of the season, not saying we will have guys scoring 4 goals after 2 games, however sometime we could use the youthful energy and surprise factors.
February 29, 201610 yr What with the Rashford debut, City winning the Cup, Arsenal imploding and Leicester continuing at the top, Spurs are once again flying under the radar which can only be to their benefit. I said it a while back but they've done all the right things to get there. Levy's bolshiness seems to have finally paid off, they've gone with a young coach and backed him, they've got some decent value in the transfer market and they've got a core of young English talent alongside some very good players with a decent amount of experience. And they've spent less this season than Leicester. It's such a shame that it's Spurs though because any other team mounting a title challenge having done all this would actually be quite a joyous thing. The next two games probably define their season though. Going away to West Ham is a very tricky one, but then there's the North London derby. If they win both then killing Arsenal's season whilst becoming genuine, bonafide title contenders might be one of the most beautiful things we've seen in football for a long time and it signals the end of Wenger's time at Arsenal. He might have conditioned Arsenal supporters to think top four is a trophy but even they aren't stupid enough to think that finishing below Spurs is good enough. February 29, 201610 yr kudos to utd. when you think they're going to lose, they turn it around - and with their key players missing.
February 29, 201610 yr Does anyone else find it funny that when on Arsenal Fans TV they are having a go at lack of mentality, drive and Passion and then at the end you have Giroud trying to look pretty saying 'subscribe to arsenal fans tv', to me thats every thing wrong with this arsenal team its all about looking good and taking selfies and not about playing your heart out and trying to win. I was thinking exactly the same thing.

I have a feeling that the game on Bank Holiday Monday will be pivotal for Tottenham either way. It would be the ultimate humiliation for Wenger if Sp*rs were to beat Arsenal to the title. Bear in mind that he didn't sign a single outfield player in the Summer despite having reportedly £100m in the bank. That said, so long as he delivers top 4 then we all know his position is secure.
February 29, 201610 yr My ideal fantasy would be if Leicester won the title, Spurs came second, Man Utd picked up enough form to overtake Arsenal and City, who would finish fourth and fifth respectively. Wenger keeps his job (better for everyone except Arsenal fans), and Pep arrives to play in Europa League! Edited February 29, 201610 yr by Sharpey

There are probably a few teams where money is more important than trophies, but it's so clearly the case at Arsenal that it's little wonder they don't attract/bid for top drawer players. Arsenal always were a sound club financially but they won things too. I wonder when Wenger will go? Edited February 29, 201610 yr by Spudulike
February 29, 201610 yr I've only just now seen Leicester score their winning goal. Ranieri's celebration brought back some fond memories :-)
March 1, 201610 yr Another great Squires cartoon ahahahaha http://www.theguardian.com/football/picture/2016/mar/01/david-squires-on-football-and-the-oscars

I think his contract runs out after next season, so it could well be then.
March 1, 201610 yr Where has our PSG friend gone? Still enjoying Lyon? He's bound to resurface soon, the return match is next week already!

March 1, 201610 yr Toure cracks me up lol. He must know he's gone at the end of the season so doesn't give a toss!
March 1, 201610 yr Toure cracks me up lol. He must know he's gone at the end of the season so doesn't give a toss! If he was a Chelsea player he would frustrate the hell out of me. He has the talent to be remembered as one of the best midfielders of his generation, but he'll be remembered as the player who went into most games half hearted and moaned about not being wished happy birthday by his football club.

Agreed. He seems a spoilt sod to me. He has/had all the talent in the world playing for Barca and City but you can’t help thinking he could have done more with the gifts he had as a player. Will be remembered a City great I’d imagine for winning them the FA Cup against them and being part of the sides to win EPL titles but out with that he could have had much more. The strops will be remembered just as much as his heroics for City (maybe to us rather than the City fans themselves).
