March 10, 201610 yr How do Liverpool keep on getting such soft penalties?? It's ridiculous I think it's a penalty. Memphis pulls Clyne and continues the foul him into the area. Rules say that if a player continues to foul a player into the area, the ref can give a penalty.
March 10, 201610 yr Liverpool want this more. It's desire and energy versus apathy. Utd need this too. Bizarre.
March 10, 201610 yr Scholes and Ferdinand are being bias because they are ex United players, Memphis holds Clyne and then clips his heel on the edge of the penalty area. If that was the other way around, they would be saying it's a penalty to United.
March 10, 201610 yr I've have no idea what United's gameplan was tonight they were back to looking completely toothless; with Guardiola coming to City it looks certain to me that there's going to be an arms race between United and City to snap up elite players. I've heard it suggested Gareth Bale could be on his way to City. How we rebuild in the midst of all of this will be fascinating. I don't want to be a doom monger but we could find ourselves entering a period similar to that which Liverpool have been in for about 7 years; a series of false dawns and near things but always feeling that the best are just that little bit better.
March 10, 201610 yr Scholes is annoying, United should be this, United should be that.........United are no different than any other club, stop being so bloody entitled.
March 10, 201610 yr Scholes is annoying, United should be this, United should be that.........United are no different than any other club, stop being so bloody entitled. They are displaying why they were winners, second best isn't good enough, some of our lads need to take note.
March 10, 201610 yr Look how far United have fallen, can't say too much about the Liverpool side for that matter, wouldn't get carried away if I was a Liverpool fan, they're not good enough to win it, amazing to think what they achieved in 05, ghost goal aside, look at us too, Premier Legaue football is dying.
March 11, 201610 yr I dislike Rafa probably just as much as all you lot. But I cannot see what appeal there is for him taking the Newcastle job. I would imagine there is a clause in his contract that allows him to walk away if they go down.
March 11, 201610 yr From Liverpool, to Chelsea then to Madrid and now Newcastle. Desperado. Edited March 11, 201610 yr by Chelsbear
March 11, 201610 yr Inter and Napoli as well he's been at. All clubs at an "elite" level. Just seems so bizarre.
March 11, 201610 yr Rafa taking the job is a weird one, he's not really been in a relegation scrap before. I actually think Newcastles treatment of McClaren over the past few days has been nothing short of disgraceful. They keep him hanging on for days? Unless it's been about negotiating a settlement mind.
March 11, 201610 yr Fair play to him for taking on the challenge. Newcastle are only 1 point off safety as it stands so I think he can keep them up.
March 11, 201610 yr It's March, there's zero expectations and he needs to rebuild his image (again). He'll be paid well, if he keeps them up he's a hero and if they go down then it's McLaren's fault. There's no mystery here. On the face of it though he's their best appointment in ages.
