Wanted us to win, I'm disappointed with Hazard's performance, also with Willian's. A lot of mistakes, I hope we will start the PL with a better football. Remy did more than Falcao, Falcao showed nothing.

We need someone beside Matic. Vidal would have been perfect. Veratti is a player too.

We need a right sided attacker as Willian looks very uncomfortable there and Oscar has stagnated massively over the last year. No progression whatsoever.

I also think Dave has to move to right back and a left back signed. Dave done nothing wrong but each season Ivan is regressing and it's painful to watch.

Address these and we will spank this league again. We have Jose and could win the league with this team, however it won't be anywhere near last season and we all know it.

Despite it just being a glorified friendly, that performance wasn't up to scratch and the fact we start the season in a weeks time is the most worrying.

Hard to take any positives other than fitness, Willian was class, Tibo had some good saves, but suspect with the ball at his feet though.

We are further behind arsenal in terms of fitness and preparations which has to be taken in to account.

We'll need to improve for next week though to hit the ground running!

Well, we lost another community shield match, starting to stack up now. I don't think we were terrible, i don't think we were great either, to be honest we should have taken it to pens at least. Some players look a lot more ready for the season than others which is the biggest concern. Fabregas looked well off the pace today, he was very slow and misplaced a fair few passes and set pieces. Willian looked dangerous today for us and was our MOTM and i think he was the overall MOTM too. Ramires played well as well. Falcao didn't impress, it's very early days though, but it just felt like i was watching Torres. Hopefully it was just a one off for us. The 2 biggest things missing from our game right now is tempo and end product, hopefully that returns against Swansea.

 

Another friendly in midweek and then the season can really begin.

I don't think we've seen enough of Falcao to judge him yet, I still think he can go on to be good back up to Costa. We played failry well second half, but had no end product, still it's only the community shield, it would have been nice to win it but it's no big deal, time to move on and look ahead to the first proper game of the season.

I'm not too worried, thought we'd lose 2-1. We tend to play a bit meh in nothing games. Last preseason, this preseason, West Brom away... Although I do think not getting another CM is a poor strategy. I also think Ivan and Cahill are weak links.

I'm gutted, not just for losing the shield but Wenger now has that monkey off his back, people can try to dismiss it all they wants but that was huge for him.
