Chelsea vs. Swansea (PL) 08/08/15 KO 17:30 BST

Featured Replies

The team picks itself ... exactly the same as last year ... injuries dependant.

Perhaps, a little too predictable for me ...

I think the season ahead will be similar to the last part of last season (most games extremely tight) rather than the comfortable beginning part?

However, will we get the rub of the green this time? ... looking forward to finally getting underway and finding out.

Traore has been really underwhelming in pre-season though. So i don't think he is ready for a PL start yet.
Moses deserve to start really but i don't think he will. Good option from the bench though.

Courtois, Iva, Cahill, JT, Azpi, Cesc, Matic, Haz, Oscar, Willian, Costa/Remy.

Falcao doesn't look good i'm afraid. Neighter has Remy but he showed last year he can do a decent job up there. So lets just hope he finds his form again if DC is out.

Tomorrooooooww! And so it begins. I hope to goodness we start the season like the last one, if not better. Come on you Blues!

Lawrenson on the BBC website is starting the season like the last one, and the one before that, and the one before that, etc.: he predicts his customary 2-0 win for us

It's very unlikely we will see a performance as dismal as what we saw on Wednesday, but the players just are not fully fit yet and that will make the game a lot more difficult. Swansea did the double over United and Arsenal last season, they are no mugs, but I think we'll just have that extra bit of quality to win the game

Missing this one unfortunately, heading north of the border to watch my other team (thankfully will be at the following 3 games).

Always important to start strongly and I fully expect us to do so (certainly in terms of results, if not performances). No need to panic after last weekend and a couple of dodgey pre-season results, as some have done. Think we'll dig out a gritty 1-0 win. Would love to see a Falcao goal if Costa doesn't pass the fitness test.

Seriously itching for the season to start now, 5.30pm tomorrow can't come quickly enough!

No Diego Costa...Jose said this 2 mins ago...

"I think he is going to train with the team, and his decision to be confident to play is a different matter."

On buying another striker: "No, we need three and we have three. Remy and Falcao".

Falcao to start.

Hopefully Remy starts, as poor as both he and Falcao were he looked the closest to scoring out of the two on Wed night.

Ivan----Cahill----Terry----Azpi

---------Cesc----Matic-------

Moses-----Willian--------Hazard

-------------Remy------

Swansea also conceded 9 goals in 2 games against us.

Edit- Upon reflection of that fact, Costa got 5 of those goals. He's unlikely to play. I'm still confident, however. [emoji2]

Got bad vibes about this one. For some reason see us dominating the game, loads of shots on target, but their keeper plays a blinder and we end up but loosing 1-0 to an early Swansea goal.

Hope not
