Poor display, much better 2nd half and should really have equalised, ramires was not offside and hazard has to finish those . So sad seeing fans turning on the manager, he doesn't deserve that kind of grief

We looked rubbish in the pre-seasons, looked rubbish in the Coomunity Shield, looked rubbish last match against Swansea, and looked horrendous today.  Honestly don't think our current crop of players have what it takes to turn it around.  Neither does Mourinho, for that matter.  We'll be lucky to stay in the top 6 judging from these performances.

Where to start...Begovic was again a bright light, strange bench for me and very strange substitutions, Terry done nothing that deserved being subbed and although it was evident we

could have done with some more pace at CB, after Cahills smack in the face and the fact that Terry is our leader out there, I find it madness that Terry was the one to make way.

Cuadrado being on the bench in front of Moses was a mystery...him coming on in a game of such magnitude defies belief.

Costa didn't look himself as every other challenge saw him looking to the ref far too soon instead of keeping at it which I normally love about his game, not many came out of this with much credit the way I see it, Jose is worrying me, I hope his substitutions are not like some pundits seem to feel an odd way of telling the owner he wants more players, I'd much rather believe his relationship with Roman involved being a bit more straight up than that.

jose was right to sub jt in my opinion. no player is above any other, captain or not and if we needed more pace at the back, then take the slowest guy off. makes perfect sense. jt will be back next week and every other week after that, im 100% sure of it.

ivanovic was very poor today, fabregas anonymous, and i felt costa disrupted a few attacks by throwing himself down when he could have battled on and caused more problems.

overall, this was a sign that this year is going to be a long, hard one to watch. i still expect us to be top 2 however. we defo need a right winger as a priority, and i think in a few weeks we'll be back close to where we were last season in terms of sharpness, as at the minute we still dont look entirely switched on. hazard in particular just doesnt seem to have that killer turn of pace that he had last year, and he's struggling/reluctant to beat a man

Positive note: Great performance from Begovic! and willian again looked good through the middle

Nonsense...would be interested to know which 6+ teams are currently stronger than we are....

Quinn is arguing his part well, and he is convinced JT is shot..

I think what Quinn was getting at, although worded horrifically was if Stones joins, Terry may well find himself being out of the side or subbed off that little bit more than he's used to with the eventual outcome being Terry phased out to the backroom staff, unless he goes elsewhere.   So I kind of seen Quinn's point, Terry will need to get used to this and Mourinho probably sees him as the one to make way for another CB if we sign one.

Well are they turning on him? He is open to criticism as anyone. He makes £10m a year so he is under pressure we can't imagine and he can take it. Jose's team, Jose's responsibility.

I don't understand people who are blaming our lacklustre performance on our failure to sign new players.

This could explain why we haven't improved like other teams clearly have, but surely it can't explain why we have regressed?

With no new influx we should at worst be at the same level with that logic, but we're not.

The individual class from Hazard, Cesc, Costa etc. is lacking, and I'm hoping they can find it sooner rather than later.

Because as a team you can't stand still, a new signing can galvanise a squad. A team can get complacent and it's looking like we've done that.

A lack of new signings, means no competition for places, which leads to complacency. Add the fact we think we can win the title by showing up for the season 2 weeks late, and all of sudden there is talks of a crisis.

With no new signings the competition for places should be the same as last year, yes? Therefore our lack of signings cannot be the answer to the question - why have our top players not shown up for the first two weeks of the season?

I know it's a cliche but the only you way you can go when on top of the pile is down.

After an impeccable transfer window and preparation last year we appear to have changed the approach, for no reason whatsoever. We are only two games in and we cannot simple write off this campaign. Many other teams take time to get going, this start simply isn't something we're used to. That doesn't excuse how poor we've looked. We need to buy at least 3 players if we are going to kick on - as mentioned by other users it is the lack of competitiveness in our team which I believe as one of the main reasons for the lacklustre displays thus far. We should not turn our backs on a man that has given us so much. We are all human and get things wrong. What I will say is that the man needs to be humble in an honest beating.

I'm sure we will push forward in the coming games.

Can we win the title? Of course we can, it might just be in a different way many than we are used to.

Lets focus to West Brom, hope Jose finally makes some changes in the starting line up and at least look like a unit.

Sad thing is that I can't really see who will improve the squad. Stones will add some depth and future player but apart from that, who else is there? Bale, Griezeman, Pogba and fantasy players aren't coming.

Surely we can't go into the season with the current squad plus Baba and Stones?

Well that defensive display just added another 5 million on to the price of John Stones.

Personally I'd also keep Ivanovic well away from any pacy wingers for the rest of the season. Has started the season like a beached whale.

As for Cuadrado, that was twenty minutes of nothing to add to his illustrious Chelsea career. Takes a special eye for footballing talent to sell De Bruyne and buy Cuadrado.

To add insult to injury I’d say Lukaku is a miles better option than Remy or Falcao.

What the hell are we playing at? Selling promising talent and bringing in mediocre rubbish. Is this a joke?

If we do bollox up the league we will concentrate on the CL  and certainly strengthen up in January, Jose wont just sit back and say oh well we are not very good this season, it's far too early to talk like this but this humiliating defeat will help us in the long run, and even if we don't win I'd rather see us at least reach a CL final, simply because no other team in England can do it and tey are forced to recognise our prestige

If Dave becomes the starting RB, will Jose have to re invent the way we play, because i'm convinced he thinks Brana is Beckham?

you mean he isnt?!

Some say ramires is still celebrating the equalizer.......

Apparently just spotted outside the emptihad doing the samba. it's all over twitter. seriously, he is. no really, he is!
