Chelsea have had two bids rejected for PSG defender Marquinhos today, according to Sky sources.

It is our understanding that the Blues have offered between 35m-55m euros for the 21-year-old centre-back.

It does beg the question why so late? Why not attack Pogba/Marquinhos/Stones early in the window if these are true like last year?

I don't know who they think it would impress to be honest; an entirely half-arsed last minute attempt to sign someone completely unrealistic just for show is almost worse than not trying at all.
