Damn, didn't see that one coming, especially after about 75 minutes. The turning point was that Nobody Van Dyke decided to say a few dirty words to Costa and get us fired up. It's pure justice in the end when Van Dyke completely lose Ivanovic. If you want rile up Costa, you better have the quality to back it up, and the dude hasn't got apart from a big mouth. Correct call to take Baba off, he just looked shell shocked, Kennedy did more than a competent job at left back, maybe he's the solution there. Before everyone calling for Hazard to be sold again, I thought he actually played well in the last 20-30 minutes. He put in at least 2 great cross for tap in, Costa skied one and no one run towards the far post to finish the other one off. I don't think there's an attitude problem with him. Their pressing almost won the game for them, but you can only press like that for about 70 minutes, we were in the game with only 1 down, and good enough to got the job done in the end. The Cahill one could be a penalty, but we had plenty of could be call against us, so f* that!

That was a tough match and a really great result against a team several places above us in the league. I have to say that it didn't surprise me, even after we went a goal down. We are looking like a completely different team compared to the broken one that Guus inherited.

Thought we played well against a team that are bang in form.

Baba was poor all first half regardless of his mistake. I think hooking him was a good call, hopefully it focuses him for psg.

I might be in the minority, but I'd like to see a back four of Kennedy, Ivan, Cahill and Azpi for the next game. Not taking anything away from JT, but we look much more mobile coming from the back and we seem to be able to track the runs much better.

Not sure about Kenedy starting next game, he was well suited for today's game because Southampton seemed reluctant to attack down the right flank - credit to Guus for making the change at HT.

 

Pains me to say but the way Brano is playing at CB JT will have to earn his place again.

Costa might not have scored today but the guy fought for the cause. You can tell how much it meant to him at the end.

Only downside is the injury to Pedro just as he was starting to show form. Hope it's not too serious.

Southampton are well organized but we managed to break them down with pure effort,great team performance with kenedy outstanding.

Ugh if Everton get a point tomorrow then we're still in 12th. The middle of the table is really tight.
