May 17, 201610 yr 22m i remember being livid we dint go for him, he showed a lot of potential before athletico and 22 was a bargain I hope it's not true but, there were reports that Jose had the option to sign Griezmann, but chose Salah http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/antoine-griezmann-could-have-joined-chelsea-last-january-mourinho-bought-mohammed-salah-instead-1500739
May 17, 201610 yr He wouldn't have reached the level he has now at Chelsea I won't disagree with you. But then nobody could have predicted Willian to end up as our best player of the season!
May 18, 201610 yr Wants to stay at roma. What other options are there? Any similar players in academy we can promote? Van ginkel or ake could do a job in central midfield. Kind of expected this given we have zero European football.

May 18, 201610 yr Thought it was well covered, with Sky also reporting it and reports of bid being rejected etc.
May 18, 201610 yr I can't find any information about Chelsea being interested in Joao Mario. But apparently Manchester Utd sent a scout to Sporting's last game at Braga, and it is ManUtd the team that according to the Portuguese press is most likely to get him signed. http://www.abola.pt/clubes/ver.aspx?t=4&id=6122
May 21, 201610 yr sounds like conte still adamant radja is his no.1 priority signing and is not giving up on getting his man. good to hear tbh. do the bizzo marina. http://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/chelsea-fc-transfer-rumours-news/2016/5/20/11723228/chelsea-roma-nainggolan-transfer-rumor-it-just-continues Edited May 21, 201610 yr by enigma
May 21, 201610 yr You guys honestly don't know much about Italian football. One of the top players in serie A. Mainly because of consistency. Is this honestly the club of Makelele? You don't have to be flashy to be a top class footballer. Both him and Asamoah are elite midfielders that are deserved starters in almost any top club but they won't set the world alight. But you cant have a team made entirely of Hazard's... Edited May 21, 201610 yr by Jon Stakes
May 21, 201610 yr You guys honestly don't know much about Italian football. Its good that such an incredibly knowledgeable expert like you is here to enlighten us thickies. Thanks for your amazing efforts, cheers.
May 21, 201610 yr I am not an expert but I know enough to see that Conte is obviously chowing the cream of the crop in Italy. BTW Nainggolan is another Serie A team of the year footballer

But you cant have a team made entirely of Hazard's... Agreed. Far too many people on here underrate players from the Serie A because of the league they're in. Nainggolan is a very good player, there's a reason he's a mainstay in a very good Belgian midfield.
May 21, 201610 yr I will be the first to admit i don't watch much football outside of watching chelsea play, but when we're linked with certain players i try to watch more of them and read various sources, fans' views etc on said player to understand more about the player. i don't think anyone can watch football 24/7 - okay 24/7 is an exaggeration, but people have lives, and mine doesn't consist of watching a lot of football, barring chelsea, the odd opposition team, la liga game and occasionally international football.
May 21, 201610 yr I've mostly seen Raingolan from his CL football. I watch the odd Juventus vs Roma game or the Belgian game. That should be enough to see he's class though. to be fair Asamoah is not exactly the player that carries the Juventus team though, so underrating him is kinda understandable Sure. But he is not ut of place alongside the likes of Vidal, Pirlo, Pogba. A Raingolan-Asamoah midfield would be a masive upgrade on our Matic / Mikel / Oscar first team... I actually think it's easier now to follow leagues outwit our own these days. If you have BT and Sky which many do (or android) you can see league highlights ever week in a hour show (the games that are not televised anyway). Seria A is one of the ones I tend not to pay much attention to bar Inter and Juve. The league is pants. I feel the Bundusliga is going down that route too so pretty soon it will only be Spain I will be following I'd imagine.

I have a subscription that allows me to see Prem, Serie A, Ligue 1, La Liga and also eurosport player subscription (my friend works there) so that gives me bundesliga. I watch Chelsea games, champions league, clasico, international games here and there. I think I'd need a team to cheer to watch Serie A for example.

I only followed Juve because I wanted to see if the hype about Pogba was justified, it was really Inter that I was interested in ever since the old Channel 4 days of football Italia. I lost interest in it after the fixing scandal but picked it up a few seasons back (it's night and day quality wise from what we grew up with which is sad.)
May 23, 201610 yr Yeah. I only followed Juve because I wanted to see if the hype about Pogba was justified, it was really Inter that I was interested in ever since the old Channel 4 days of football Italia. I lost interest in it after the fixing scandal but picked it up a few seasons back (it's night and day quality wise from what we grew up with which is sad.) Yeah when I was growing up we didn't get sky in our house until around 99. So I was brought up watching serie a, which was probably the strongest league at the time. I was an inter fan as well, mainly because of Ronaldo, but there was talent right through the league, and some fantastic players like del piero, batistuta, Totti etc. I don't think there are as many special players around these days as there was between 95-05. Edit. These were the days! https://youtu.be/ASM3jm-ocyA Edited May 23, 201610 yr by big blue
