June 5, 201610 yr Yup before a cl team tries to sign him.Like Leicester? PSV? Sevilla?. Common mate we aren't silly spuds.
June 5, 201610 yr Why is it everytime I watch him play he makes a huge mistake ? I watched him make a horrible header to Bale, who scored for Wales. Today against Norway he gets caught on the ball infront of his defence, without much pressure and Norway scores. Edited June 5, 201610 yr by comtrend

June 5, 201610 yr So from his quotes, it sounds like we've come back in for him. I guess he is 28/29 so I can understand the club not wanting to overpay.
June 6, 201610 yr I read a bunch of quotes on twitter the other day where Nainggolan essentially stated that money isn't everything, and that he likes living in Italy and so does his family.
June 6, 201610 yr I read a bunch of quotes on twitter the other day where Nainggolan essentially stated that money isn't everything, and that he likes living in Italy and so does his family. Good for him. If he's not interested we need to focus our attention elsewhere immediately.
June 6, 201610 yr Move along then, hes not worth more then that. Better players available for less money
June 6, 201610 yr yep, win fast, or lose fast in the transfer market If he is really focused on staying in a country that he and his family love, and that money isn't the utmost important thing for him, then I applaud him and we should look elsewhere (not because I think he is a bad player, just that we don't need to waste time on someone that's happy where he is at). His quotes were pretty cool actually. Talked about how he was from a rough area, and football was his saviour. Mentioned that he had nothing, and what he has now is more than he could have ever dreamed of. Quite humble
June 7, 201610 yr While he did say all that stuff about his family and how it would be difficult to leave italy after such a long time he also said this : Nainggolan: "There has been contact between the clubs. But as long as there's no agreement, I stay out of it RN: "With Conte they have a manager who always wanted to sign me. #CFC are a big club. But as long there's no contract, there's no transfer" Seems to me like he's open to a move as long as we give him a nice contract. He confirmed that we're negotiating with Roma. If he didn't wanna come here don't you think he would have told Roma and us so we didn't have to go through the trouble of negotiating the transfer fee ?

June 7, 201610 yr Sky Sport Italia claim #ASRoma reject new €35m #Chelsea bid for Radja Nainggolan #CFC http://www.football-italia.net/85480/nainggolan-no-chelsea-%E2%82%AC35m… Funny how the club are the ones rejecting the move with all this talk of him being for/open to it. I think he'd be amazing for Conte and in this league but the price is getting a bit too steep for someone his age, especially since most of his draw comes from his motor Edited June 7, 201610 yr by TheChelseaBlues
June 7, 201610 yr he would be open for it, but is also happy in rome. in some ways he might need to force the move as roma are adamant they don't want to sell. if they sold rudiger and pjanic they would have the fees anyway. i hear people say nainggolan is more beneficial to roma than pjanic is. we need to offer more than 35 million euros if we want to bag him, and roma will try to fleece us. the truth is, there are limited amounts of top players out there like him, so if we don't get him i think we'll struggle to get anyone of similar quality. we've identified midfield as an area that needs improvement and nainggolan would fix this issue, but 35 million euros, irrevelent of age, is still low for one of roma's best players. i can't blame roma for sticking out tbh with you, so would we if we were in this position. June 7, 201610 yr Pretty sure we are going to land this deal before the summer is over. I think they'd sell if we go up to 40m euros and i think the club is going too. He kind of gave away he wanted to join in that interview in that belgian magazine the other day too.
June 7, 201610 yr Crazy price for a 28 yr old and not a huge name in the footballing world. I would think you'd get Goetze for that money. Not comparable by role and probably wouldn't need him but the price is ridiculous. Edited June 7, 201610 yr by evissy
June 7, 201610 yr Sounds like a great family man accustomed to life in Italy and not overtly keen on a new/tougher challenge in another country at his age.All the best Radja

Not comparable by role and probably wouldn't need him but the price is ridiculous. He would probably be essential to getting us back into the CL though. Missing out on that again and falling even further behind everyone else is going to cost us a lot more then 31 million pounds.

Missing out on that again and falling even further behind everyone else is going to cost us a lot more then 31 million pounds. That money is too much a player of his age. Don't forget he will be around 29 years of age when next we will be playing in the champions league and that means we will be looking for another longterm replacement for him again. BAD BUSINESS!

Don't forget he will be around 29 years of age when next we will be playing in the champions league and that means we will be looking for another longterm replacement for him again. BAD BUSINESS! You don't need to replace a 29 year old, super solid and never injured player. He would be just fine for the next four-five seasons i bet you.

June 7, 201610 yr would be a shame not to see him at chelsea, but can also understand if football/money isn't the be all and end all for him. I have much more admiration for him now than any of those mercenaries we so often see in the sport these days. Edited June 7, 201610 yr by enigma
