Couple months ago I was disappointed we didn't sign Imbula, but over the past few weeks I've become less convinced by him (and perhaps a reason why we didn't sign him) - he's very similar to Yaya Toure/Moussa Sissoko/Ramires in so far he has a tendency to be good one week, woefully inept the next. If Naingollan can give us a level of consistency similar to Essien he'll make a good signing for us.

Very good player. I'm glad if we have been able to pull this off. Will help our midfield in transition both ways amongst other things.

He has the energy levels we need to play to Cesc's strengths. I think he may also bring Matic back to where he needs to be as well by taking some of the pressure to cover the whole pitch away.

We should really be prepared for this with our targets, it's probably going to see us having to get a lower calibre of player or really get the right players in like Leicester did.

personally i kinda doubt it's true, because previously Sky reported that we're actually close, and i think Sky is the only news outlet that's reliable enough. not sure i can speak the same for CdS

I thought it was generally known that CdS are on par with most UK red top rags. I'd believe Sky anyday over them. I'm pretty sure it'll happen.

i'm not European, let alone Briton so i wouldn't know. still confident this will happen. it would be one hell of a signing

sky italia reported it. di marzio works for them and he is very reliable journo, especially in regards to italian football. 

I see, he's more of an enforcer.. if that's the case then I want matic to be replaced by someone who's more technical otherwise, we won't have enough to control the possession from midfield..

Granted I havent watched him play a lot but from the little Ive seen he doesnt seem like a player who will do well here. He doesnt seem to do well with the ball under pressure and he isnt positionally strong. Relies a lot on effoet and gettibg stuck in. Has a decent shot on him but nothibg special in that regard. The comparisons to Meireles are spot on and he was maddening to watch. Constantly giving the ball away, making stupid fouls and constantly trying long range shots that ended up in row Z. Hope we look elsewere

Roma mates of mine are incredulous that they are even considering him leaving. They see him as essential to balancing Pjanic in midfield particularly with De Rossi getting older.

For Roma he's more a runner than a ballplayer but his play I think is what we need. Energy to cover which is going to be so crucial to bring out the best in Cesc. He sits more for Belgium in a team that dominate possession so that might be a bit closer to how he might fit with us.

Definitely a good buy if we can make it happen.

Fiorentina fans were livid when they lost Cuadrado as well, this means very little to me. A runner with energy was what we had in Ramires, hopefully we bring in some that can do a bit more then that. Has he really played that many games for Belgium? I thought he struggled to get into that side.

 

Again, I might be completely off base here, just my opinion from what Ive seen. Maybe Im just really sceptical when it comes to Seria A players

I saw they want 45m for him instead of 30. Too much. Id rather we paid the 35 to release Pjanic and signed someone else to fill the role in mind for Radja

joke aside, i agree Veratti is a better option, even though i like Radja, Veratti is my dream signing for that position
