Our attacking regressed season on season and we became comically one dimensional. Oscar became a bazaar DM playing AM, and if we weren't getting Cesc playing a worldie to Costa then we were relying on some other player scoring something solo. No team effort on our attacks and it just kept getting worse. So one season we got silverware, great, but it become a dire struggle and slog despite being under no pressure and Jose was losing the plot off the pitch, becoming comical and poisonous. The PSG game summed him up. 

Of course that's not a yellow, the ref having too much fun seeing us get smashed

i'm not too bothered about this game but if we play like this at Anfield we will get whipped. That would really hurt and be truly shameful. We cannot allow the scousers to believe they are invincible at Anfield.

We really need some steel in that midfield next season. I like Fabregas going forward, but we don't hold on to the ball long enough for him to be effective. When we need him defensively, it's like playing with 10 men, he just can't do it. Mikel losses his man far too easy and midfielders run by him. He's done the best he can, but he's just not good enough in the long run. We need CB's that are either quick or have great positional awareness. Terry has brilliant positional awareness, but he's not getting any younger and we don't even know if he will be here next season. Cahill, Ivanovic and maybe even Zouma, ain't good enough for a full season. We need pace and someone who isn't going to make mistakes.

 

Defensive midfield and center back are the positions we must sort out in the transfer window. If Fabregas is starting the season from deep next season then i'll be really worried.

I can't be the only one concerned that Loftus Cheek has utterly upstaged every one of our first team players bar maybe Pedro who has done well.

Don't get me wrong it's great he's doing well, but that shows how poor our supposed stars have been.

Dean is just a disgrace.
