January 4, 201610 yr Like others, I miss the 2004-2007 Jose who was fun, cheeky and charismatic. The 2013-2015 Jose came across as haggered, confrontional and burnt out. Edited January 4, 201610 yr by JM7
January 4, 201610 yr oh yeah. genuinely forgot we are champions currently. to be fair I think some of the players have done the same.
January 4, 201610 yr Fixed mate. You're welcome hang on, five titles is correct. we're both having a terrible day of when it comes to basic maths. but aside from that- whether you think it was the right or wrong thing surely no supporter can have a diminished opinion of him? he's responsible for some of the best moments we've ever had as supporters. I think this season does draw a line in terms of "unfinished business" though. after he left the first time I felt his ghost sort of hung around in an unhelpful way. every decision by every manager since would be compared to the hypothetical of what jose would've done instead. and at the time that was a romanticised version of the man who was infallible. hopefully we'll be able to move on from that after this season. Am I to assume the club's won only 5 titles with Jose getting us 3?
January 4, 201610 yr Am I to assume the club's won only 5 titles with Jose getting us 3? Well, yes. Because, you know, that's what's happened.
January 4, 201610 yr 55, 2005, 2006, 2010, 2015 that's... five? Not disputing the fact mate. You omitted 'EPL' in your earlier post making it seem the club had only won '5 titles'. So I added EPL to your post. Sorted?
January 4, 201610 yr We were capable of majestic football under Mourinho, better than I can recall under any other Chelsea manager. The Ivanovic/Carneiro affair is what killed us, Jose was doing what he thought was best for the team but painted himself as the bad guy to pretty much everybody. If that hadn't of happened we'd be walking this league once again right now. Best manager we have ever had, probably ever will have. Is there any proof of this beyond tabloid gossip that two people of the opposite sex are close friends so therefore must be shagging?
January 4, 201610 yr Well, yes. Because, you know, that's what's happened.Obviously not. There's clearly a difference between 5 EPL titles and 5 titles.
January 4, 201610 yr If we're being pedantic then it's probably worth pointing out that Chelsea have only won four EPL titles.
January 4, 201610 yr Not disputing the fact mate. You omitted 'EPL' in your earlier post making it seem the club had only won '5 titles'. So I added EPL to your post. Sorted? We haven't won 5 premier league titles. We have won 5 titles.
January 4, 201610 yr Is there any proof of this beyond tabloid gossip that two people of the opposite sex are close friends so therefore must be shagging? none what so ever other than the team seemed to crumble after jose outed her Edited January 4, 201610 yr by luckywerthers

Sorted? epl isn't really a term I'd use and there wasn't a premier league in 55. I'd say 'title' only refers to the league. I'm guessing from your name / comments that you're not british which is probably why there's confusion. over here I don't think cups are referred to as titles usually.

January 4, 201610 yr We haven't won 5 premier league titles. We have won 5 titles. Thanks for the insightful explanation.
January 4, 201610 yr I miss him badly. He will always be a star in my estimation. Mourinho was 'Our' manager, a perfect fit.
January 4, 201610 yr Before you laugh me off the forum, is it really that impossible? Firstly, where is Jose likely to go after ourselves? Real Madrid have given Zidane the job ahead of Jose now and are likely to want to give such a club legend as much time as they possibly can. PSG likewise are turning their backs on Jose (not without reason given they beat us last time we played), and are looking to extend Laurent Blanc's contract. Manchester United by all accounts are looking to give LVG as much time as possible before appointing Giggs as successor, whilst Barcelona and Bayern Munich, even Arsenal/Manchester City/Liverpool would all seem to be out of the question for Mourinho to join for the foreseeable future also. There's only one other club in the world that will both be looking for a new manager this summer and will be able to provide Mourinho with the resources a man of his prestige constitutes. Secondly, who are we likely to go after this summer? There are only a handful of managers in the world who can near-guarantee success to a club as elite as ours without being a Villas-Boas/Scolari-eque risk. But of them whom are the ones that we can acquire this summer? -Ancelotti - going to Bayern Munich -Guardiola - (almost definitely) going to Manchester City -Klopp - gone to Liverpool -Simeone - incredibly tough to lure away from Atletico That really only leaves us with one man, unless you want to go down the Conte/Mancini-tier route again. Things may not have panned out this season for various reasons, and those reasons would have to be overcome, but they certainly panned out last season and given a couple of months' break for Mourinho to clear his head and the Chelsea squad to re-harmonise, who is to say what those few months' break might not contribute towards such overcoming; why not renew the acquaintance in summer, stronger and better than ever before?
January 4, 201610 yr We're he on gardening leave it would be possible but no never gonna happen. He's gone, done with this club now.
January 4, 201610 yr I miss the man he once was not the mess he became....thanks for the silverware Boss & get well soon....
January 4, 201610 yr This last year has been painful with him! It was right to part company. In terms of missing him, tough, he was OUR manager, but I'd grown bored of the post match interviews, and I think he treated some of the players appallingly this season. I'm not surprised they had enough of him.
