Ooh nice, apart from Manchester of course The most notable move I made for work was from the Amsterdam city centre to a no-hope suburb, and I didn't even have a choice

May 23, 20215 yr Incredible 4D if not 5D chess from Mourinho. Joined Spuds to get Bale to join and in turn saving us from EL football!

July 30, 20214 yr he'll make Scudetto more intersting, for sure shame there's no don Antonio this season

I never forgot when we won against Man United and Jose went to Conte and told him to stop with the celebration and then someone was called a clown and the other a senile...

December 12, 20214 yr Busted flush. When others were developing the game, especially Guardiola was on the rise, he chose to be the antagonist. This and his ego which is bigger than his heart and spirit, have ruined him as a manager. He could live and manage for another 200 years and this cycle which, to be fair, has become a Mourinho trademark, would repeat over and over again. Usually it would occur after three seasons, now it is happening even earlier. Whereas managers such as Guardiola, Klopp, Tuchel etc. could manage for another 200 years and they would keep the pace with all the changes and would develop both this sport and as managers. Unfortunately for Mourinho he is stuck somewhere in between 2002 and 2010 and his big ego keeps him prisoner there, probably hoping football would revert back to when his guerrilla combat tactics were successful. He is done as a manager and what is even funnier is that his next move will be in the punditry world where he will be payed millions to comment on Guardiola, Klopp and Tuchel, managers who are decades ahead of him in terms of tactics, yet he won't miss the chance to have a dig at them every time they draw or lose a game.

Perhaps in a few years someone like Tuchel won't be able to adapt his style either. In fact, in the match chat I've read a few complaints about it now. Also, the couple of times I've watched Mourinho as a pundit, I felt he wasn't unreasonable, certainly no slagging off or polishing his own ego. But it's safe to say: unless he totally re-invents himself, his glory days are over. When he leaves Roma, only truly desperate clubs will hire him if they can meet his (financial) demands.
December 12, 20214 yr He might become an international manager after Roma, you can see it now. Manager of Ivory Coast with Drogba on the coaching staff. Guaranteed a QF placing for me.
December 16, 20214 yr Many won't share this opinion, but I do hope Jose re-invents himself and does well at Roma. I just couldn't stomach him doing well at United and Spurs so I'm glad he failed at those two clubs. He's done a lot to cause angst among the fanbase in the last few years, but some of my greatest Chelsea memories were under his coaching leadership so I'll always have a soft spot for him. Tomorrow is 6 years since the club sacked him for a second time. Edited December 16, 20214 yr by Jezz
