N'golo Kante - We are not worthy!

Be interesting to see what Potter does with both Gallagher and Zakaria, I think the latter will fair quite well. Carney and Casadeis progress I am watching with interest.

Kova ability wise is a top player, so is kante, but you cannot ignore their bodies and breaking down far quicker than expected.

I think in Kova's case he was simply overplayed and/or rushed back in too quickly. In Kante's case, it feels he will tear his hamstring or reinjure his knee at any minute.

Casadei is already looking lively in the development squad.

Hmm let's see how Kova does this season.

Aye Casadei is, a goal, a commanding performance, a sending off. A cross between Lamps and Wisey.

Logically we should give him the 4 year deal he is allegedly asking for and then add another 4 years on top. He will still only be the same age as Silva is now and by then the advances in human cloning technology should mean we can clone any of the Kante triplets.

We can just keep a hair strain in the meantime. No need for a 8 year deal.

If we can find anyone who is better than him in those 8 years I'd agree. We certainly haven't got anyone at the moment. Kante and Silva are still our best players by some distance.

I think if you can find a quality player that won't miss 1/3 of the season through injury it will already be a step up.

Kouadio Koné is a player I'd like to replace Kante with.

Kovacic

Zakaria (should he come good)

 Koné

Carney

Mount

Gallagher

If he's able to keep fit, even a 5 year deal is no issue. My feeling is that niggling hamstring will keep bugging him, he only had 1 and half game before he broke down, will keep happen during the busy period of the year. What could happen is a lower salary with big appearance fee, I'm sure Boehly is working on that.

Apparently 2 years + a third option by the club isn't good enough for Ngolo.

Well, he has just seen Boehly give a 4 year deal to Koulibaly, who is the same age, so it's understandable I guess, albeit KK doesn't have the same injury issues ....

His hamstrings are f**ked. Even when he gets a run of games, he is fighting to get as sharp as he once was, then he just gets injured again before he gets close.

or he goes not recovered to int. duties as he never says no to c**t Deschamp just to f**k up his body even more

Maybe, and maybe he will be really good. Who knows. My predicted lineup was only for RBS tomorrow anyways which means I have at least one correct given Gaga is not here till January.

You seem very knowledgeable about this Scott. Which of the three hamstring muscles do think is causing the problems? Do you think it's a flex or rotational muscle problem? Hey, maybe it's a muscle shortening that is not allowing full extension?

I say that because a common issue here is semitendinosus a fusiform muscle of the posterior and inner part of the thigh that arises from the ischial tuberosity along with the biceps femoris, that is inserted by a long round tendon which forms part of the inner hamstring into the inner surface of the upper part of the shaft of the tibia, and that acts to flex the leg and rotate it medially and to extend the thigh

But you probably know that. Anyway I agree it's a problem. There again Scott he looked the f**kin monkey's nuts against Tottenham didn't he?

This makes me smile. He is "just" a little guy that has worked his body too hard and it can't keep it up. My family is full of doctors but I am "just" the financial analyst. Only the very greatest of football players, like Ronaldo have bodies that keep up the effort to stay at the very top of the premier league into their 30s. Despite all the work wing backs do the hardest runners in the game are the central midfielders and for me it most requires players under 30.

I'm not N'golo Kante but you are speaking to the converted here ozboy. Two full knee replacements, one of which required revision surgery to button the patella, and a right hip replacement. All in the last four years!

He might not be in Potters plans anyway.

Anything can happen from here in, Kante dropped, Chilwell benched, Jorginho captain, Slonina between the sticks, Todd #9...

i don't see Kante participating in a musical or a dance performance. it undermines Potter's plans

That would take it out of you. I played tennis with an ex pro/coach and now have coffee with him who at age 68 has just had both his knees done. It is hard work getting everything working again.

Would be sensible for Kante to turn down our contracts imo. While injuries mean he will probably never play a full season again you know the likes of Real, Barca, Bayern, PSG and maybe even City would snap him up for the times he is fit and dominates.

I don't see him picking up another major trophy here and, at 31 with regular injuries, time is limited on his top flight career. A move to those sides would be a cast iron guarantee of silverware and medals before he hangs up the boots.
