July 16, 201610 yr Mikel is in the last year of his deal and a fee gained would be minimal, I'd rather we kept him for a year to rotate in and out and let him walk next summer. Unless of course the Chinese come calling and I'd gladly take £20m off them. :-D

July 16, 201610 yr Mikel wouldn't really suit Leicester's style of play. They signed a European-standard player in Gokhan Inler last summer and he could hardly get a game because he was simply not direct enough and didn't move the ball fast enough. That said, at least we'd appreciate him up in Leicester.

This is brilliant business by the club; if he continues playing as he has been we have a potential world-beater on our hands. Generally speaking defensive midfielders don't tend to peak until their late twenties - Kanté is this good and he's only twenty-five. I've [briefly] met him a couple of times and he seems like a very nice chap as well. Welcome N'Golo, may you have many, many years of glory at Chelsea.
