Loic Remy looking to stay

Featured Replies

He's a good option especially if we are playing two upfront. Great goal scorer but not as good a link player.

If youth are going to get in the team they are best to start scoring more goals than him be that in training or the opportunities they get.

He's a decent striker, but rarely there when we needed him in the past 2 seasons. That's why we had Drogba, Hazard, Tarore playing as a striker when Remy ruled himself out due to some mysterious little injuries. I don't see him having any game time now we had a 30M striker, and possibly another one coming.

Good god, get rid.

He's almost the perfect third choice striker.

Proven goalscorer and doesn't mind playing the team role.  Can't understand why you'd want to get rid of him

Because there is a strong chance we will play 2 upfront this season and therefore he becomes first choice back up.

There are plenty of better strikers out there. No player should be happy to play the 'team role' (in other words doesnt care about playing just wants to pick up £££) His lack of desire is evident in his current shape. he is deadwood.

Arsenal away was the final straw last season. Came on towards the end and was blowing harder after 5 mins than the players who had been on form the start.

Remy will be the third-choice striker if he stays on, but if Conte is happy to keep him on then I'm willing to persist with him.

If a good offer comes our way from another club for his services, I would consider selling him if I was the club.

Based on his displays of last season, Remy is as much use to Chelsea fc as a Chocolate fire guard.........last season he came on as a sub and was bloody awful as he looked totally disinterested and dead wood.

However ! ....... I hope he changes his attitude and pulls his finger out and shows Conte and us fans that he is up for it and show a strong desire to improve himself and play his heart out.

If he doesn't change his attitude, then he can f**k off. / he is likely to sit out the year left on his contract, as no other club will want to pay Chelsea a transfer fee and his big wages.

Where was remy tonight? Injured?

I dont rate him tbh, he is a decent premier league player, and a good finisher, but he is very injury prone.

If we are going with 4 strikers next year, which from the sounds of things it looks like we are after 1 more, then i think he should be the player to make way.

He may want to stay, but we've already got Costa, Batsh*tCrazy and Traore, with rumours of us signing another striker. Don't see why we';d need him.

  • 3 weeks later...

Saw a tweet today that he's off to Crystal Palace on Loan, with an option to buy of 12 million at the end of the season.  Honestly, if we are going to do that, I'd rather we just flogged him for the 12 mill right now

It's a shame and a bizarre decision considering we only have 2 other strikers, one of which is injury prone and seem to be playing best with 2 up front..

New striker coming in?

I think not actually, sounds like Conte wants to use RLC as striker nr 3.
