Alex Sandro

Am surprised he hasn't signed and Huge haven't come out and say he's not for sale. They have offered him a new deal to make the clud seem like they did everything to keep him

If only we paid the 60m much earlier and forced their hand much earlier. It would've been a coup.

It can still be a coup now but Juventus is in dire straits atm so it'd take a lot of negotiating nous now

It'll have to take something special to beat the Costa and Fabregas window.

Rudiger, Bakayoko, Morata along with a player like Sandro and even another top player would surely be up there though.

We need quality in the full back positions, todays game highlighted that, we can't just play with 5 defenders and 2 DM's and wait for hazard to open up the opposition, we will get found out like that this season

We were found out like that late last season as it is.  Kick Hazard and Pedro out of a game and we were left with hoofing the ball up to Diego and praying his baby giraffe touch could control the ball.

I found myself laughing at this. It really is that easy huh

It would mean certain defeat if the opposition scored 2-3 goals before our team gets going.

For some reason or another, we start a game really late like 30mins in or worst, after halftime.

Does anyone know of any other top prospects can play wing back on the market? I assume we are going in with a 3-4-3 or at least 3 at the back maybe 3-5-2 since haz is out, I think if he wanted to try a 4-2-4 as a serious option he would have done it by now because it's going to take time to adapt to, if we don't see it by the next game I'd almost certainly say we start with 3 at the back next season, in which case I don't see another plausible option but to buy sandro even if we are charged an inflated fee...

Jeremy Toljan...RWB Hoffenheim...currently on the market for a pitiful £3.1m...U21 German international that tore England a new one in the U21 Championships and be quick because the Spuds are interested in him...

Cedric Soares would be my favourite RWB purchase. Check this guy out, pacey, composed, good crosses, a great defender and PL experienced. Actually the better player than Bertrand in my opinion, even though the latter could also challenge Alonso for the spot.
But Sandro for LWB and Cedric for RWB would be my absolute dream solution!

Spurs have been quite good recently at buying young, cheapish players and developing them into very good players, if he goes to them, I can see him being worth 10x that in a year or so.

Felipe Anderson played as a wingback for Lazio last season, he can also played in the 2 behind a 9.

it helps that spurs give them a chance and have less pressure on them to do well. spurs, for the last two seasons, have gone under the radar and will do again next season allowing them to play how they want and with freedom for their young players to just play.

i don't think it's worth our time buying an u21 player when we already have good young players. if tomori can develop as a wing back, i would be all for giving him the chance. unfortunately we will likely buy first team quality for wing back. there is a young lb in our youth system we bought from ajax (i think) who has looked very good from what i saw of him.
