May 8, 20179 yr JUST ONE MORE TO GO! Well done our boys in blue. Really well done. Outclassed our opposition in every way possible. Fabs was excellent today and was the cause for our victory. JUST ONE MORE TO GO!
May 9, 20179 yr Stamford Bridge was rockin tonight ! i lost it when they started chanting are you watching tottenham ? i
May 9, 20179 yr not sure if anyone posted The Man w/ the Magic Hat's post match interview - here it is just in case
May 9, 20179 yr Big win. I didn't get to see this game, only some of the highlights. I must say that Cesc's pass to Costa was (unsurprisingly) great, Alonso's finish was sharp and that Guzan really didn't have a very good day. Did Middlesbrough attempt to attack at first like I predicted?
May 9, 20179 yr Whoever took that first assist off Fabregas is a total numpty and has no business being in football. The dubious goals panel etc are a complete joke
May 9, 20179 yr A good win with a good performance. Very pleasing. Admit to being nervous all day pre match at work. Well done Chelsea!

Did Middlesbrough attempt to attack at first like I predicted? No, the ball was played in their half the entire match. They never even had 1 clear cut chance. Pretty much nonexistent as an attacking threat. It could've ended up 6 or 7 and that's no exaggeration. That's really my only gripe about the match that we weren't clinical. We'll need to be a bit more clinical on Friday but if we play like that we'll get plenty of chances anyway. Edited May 9, 20179 yr by dynamite
May 9, 20179 yr cesc's assist to diego has been reinstated, so thats 2 assist from him yesterday, total 11 assist on 11 starts
May 9, 20179 yr Thought matic was great tonight same for Alonso and costa worked very hard as did Pedro. Others have already done the rap for fab. Glad to see the shout out for abramovitch. No club could ask for a better owner. 5 premierships in 11 seasons. Soon be time to think about how to strengthen for next season.

Just proves they don't know what they're doing.
May 9, 20179 yr Had a brilliant night at the game with my dad, flew in from Belfast yesterday afternoon and whizzed back on the red eye flight, slept in the airport like a hobo as we only had 4 hours to kill. I am back at my desk at work already! Thanks again to @Richard P and Jim for their hospitality, legendary men!
May 9, 20179 yr A great night at the Bridge and a wonderful atmosphere. A very comfortable win in the end. Boro was poor opposition and had no fight in them. We went to the Lillie before the game. First time in over a year. Bloody expensive. Has changed a hell of a lot since Pat and Mary retired.

October - total destruction of Everton and Man United at home builds confidence changes in Conte's system can make us contenders and puts early September failures behind us. December - Huge come from behind wins at Man City and at Home to Spurs shows we are legitimate title contenders. February - throttling of Arsenal at the Bridge continues the title march. April - Solid wins home to Man City and at Everton shake off shock loss to Palace. Wins fend off Spurs challenge. April FA Cup semi - does not need a lot of words. One of the most exciting Chelsea matches of the past several seasons. Statement game. Set the tone for the run in. Only team to put four past Spurs this year. May - win one more of final three and win the title!! What huge signings this year in Kante, Alonso and Luiz. What a year mates! Cannot wait for the celebration at the Bridge in a couple of weeks!! Come on you Chelsea!! Brilliant summing up. Just to counter-balance the great memories from this season, the home match agains Liverpool was one of the low points in my watching Chelsea. We were dire from kick off. I had struggled to get down to London with a landslide affecting trains from the Midlands. The whole evening, bar meeting my son for a drink was awful. Who'd have thought that night how the season would pan out? Not me for sure! The next two matches I went to - home against Manure and Everton - were in stark contrast!

A depressing night, we looked like we were right back where we were the season before and I was convinced that the Conte bounce (from the opening games) had vanished. Happy end though!
