Exciting start to the premier league season. Seems Liverpool finally singed a new keeper in Gomes.

Salah scores. Unbelievable collapse from Watford, Liverpool have been terrible.

Frustrating, the same as Arsenal last night. Even when they were losing, you just knew they'd turn it around.

I agree - these low tier teams seem to realise they're winning and promptly resume normal service of dropping arse.

The EPL is exciting but the defending is awful, it's vastly overrated.

Watford are all over the f**king place. There are more scouse goals in this.

Defending in the game around the world is pretty poor right now. It's been in decline since around 2010.

Not on the level I'm seeing here.  it's not just the smaller sides but two of the bigger clubs have shipped 5 goals between them in 2 games so far and the goals scored stands at 12 in two games. It's exciting but from a defensive point of view it's terrible

the reason spain is regarded as the best league is because lower teams, first, don't have the budget lower teams in this league do, and second of all they actually stay on the offensive and try to score against the bigger teams so they sometimes end up conceding more but then there's the chance of them beating the big teams. such a shame in this league that too many smaller teams play hoofball to the big man, rather than actually play football. the league is for sure technically inferior compared to spain. with the budget that clubs like watford have, you would expect more footballing brains.

Even the big teams have "defenders" like Moreno. That is indicative of how good their defence will be

liverpool have been mediocre though. the hype they receive is crazy.

Solanke with his ass parked on the bench, their best striker in pre season and a player dippers have made a fuss about, gets zero minutes today.

Mounie is a very good player for Huddersfield. I'm not looking forward to playing them
