I have a funny feeling we may see costa in a Chelsea shirt again befor the end of the year. Really need some back up in center mid and at wingback that said I actually do think he is a quality player (more so then others on here it would seem) and would suit the style conte wants to play. If conte doesn't rate the younger lot then why not I agree, players like Mahrez comes once in a while. He's acclimatized to the league, played in CL games and offers something different to us. But no way does Costa play for us again. Atleti won't want him to be cup tied and he's burned his bridges.
August 21, 20178 yr I think is Mahrez can settle for a squad role, he might be a good buy. Given that Pedro and Hazard are first choice, both of those guys will need their rest. But then again, I'd like to see more of Musonda...
August 22, 20178 yr Hardly a steal...£40m is a lot for a player that wants away...and had an indifferent season last year...around £30m is more of a good deal...You won't get a quality player right now for 30m except he is injury prone.
August 22, 20178 yr He's better than Willian and Pedro for our team right now. I mentioned my shock a couple of weeks ago that we were seemingly going to allow him to go to Roma for what is today a reasonable fee. A huge plus for me is that he's wanted a move all summer now but has acted AND PLAYED like a complete professional in both of Leicester's games, take note the likes of Sanchez, van Dijk, Coutinho and Sigurdsson.Plus Hazard won't have to suffer all the fouls every game which means less injury possibility for Hazard as opponents will also try to always close down Mahrez because he is also highly skilful and creative. Plus Alonso will have a new rival for free kicks. It will only improve the team.

The board haven't and won't shift from it's valuation, which from what we know was £40m for a foreign team and £50m from premier league teams. The bloke is top level and playing with high quality players will only elevate him further. Spurs spent £30m on Sissoko, Everton £29m on Bolasie, Everton £45m on Sigurdsson. None of whom have ever come close to the levels Mahrez has reached. Mahrez's worst season is still twice as good as Sissoko and Bolasie. As or Vardy that I've seen mentioned today, we've got about as much chance of signing Kante back this summer as you have Vardy. He wouldn't be sold at any price with less than two weeks of the window left. He's so important to us the board wouldn't even entertain it.

I'd also pay similar for Vardy but agree there's little chance he leaves. Ye stole one in Maguire this summer, he'll be being linked elsewhere for 3-4 times what ye paid for him next summer.

Maguire looks brilliant so far, despite having to carry Morgan who looks to have regressed massively over the last 6 months. He's top draw on the ball, gives us another dimension completely rather than Huth and Morgan punting the ball 9 times out of 10. If we managed to get another ball playing CB to play with Maguire I'd be confident of having a very good season. People were laughing at us paying £12m for him (rising to £17m) all summer, just because he's English and looks like a Potato. I don't think they'll be laughing for too long though. Another case of English talent being sneered at. Edited August 22, 20178 yr by foxedup

August 26, 20178 yr Anyone watch Manchester United - Leicester just now? How anyone wouldn't take him for £50m is ridiculous.
August 26, 20178 yr He look's sharper this season compared to last. If Leicester want £50m then i say give it to them. I think he's on another level to Pedro and he would take the pressure off Hazard. I know other positions are important for our depth, but we also need to add more quality to the first 11 to compete for the Premier League and Champions League. I guess it all comes down to what formation Conte wants to play, does he want two up front with an attacking midfielder behind the strikers, or does he want one up top with two wingers? August 28, 20178 yr I confess i don't get the hype over Mahrez. I think he has been found out now by most defenders. Very one dimensional, very one footed, very little workrate off the ball and rarely looks for a team mate now, just head down looking to shoot at all costs. I think there are better options out there tbh.

He's had a very good start to the season and i think with the quality he has, he should be playing for a better team.

August 29, 20178 yr Probably the story originated from Tribal football...hearing that Arsenal are interested in Johnny Evans...still reckon there's a deal to be had with them involving Cahill and Sanchez...
August 29, 20178 yr And we play at the King Power next too. It seems that we plan to buy from the next club we'll face starting from Rose, Barkley, Drinkwater, Ox.
August 29, 20178 yr Antonio Conte holding talks with Mahrez-title pretty much says what is going on with this so called rumour...made up.
