I have seen a lot of people talk about his training and work ethic.. I haven’t seen a quote from Harry of Lampard Snr about his natural ability? Also on lamps he did write in his autobiography that he wasn’t about dribbling and stuff but his skill was around passing and shooting.. post to quote something?

CHO is unlikely to get much time as a left winger this season and not sure of him on the Right side. For me a loan would be best. He's proving to be a bit of a conundrum. I know what you mean by loaning him out. He does need minutes but I'm not sure the club would be prepared to loan out a player who is on £180k a week. I don't think another club is going to pay that and I don't think Chelsea would want to end up subsidizing an opponent. He would be insulted if Chelsea offered him a loan to a Championship team. Maybe a foreign loan to Bayern but would he get minutes? I just think the value the club have placed on him and the length of contract he has means they rate him very highly and want him around. I also think one injury plagued season doesn't change that view. I wanted to see a whole season of him last year but it didn't happen. I've had to reel in my expectations of him for this reason and I suspect the club are in a similar position. There is still time for him to shine and if Pulisic continues to pick injuries he may get more minutes. He's still very young and needs to learn how to apply his undoubted skill set into good performances. I think application is the only missing piece of the Jigsaw. I don't think its a confidence issue I just think he needs to learn when to stick or twist.
September 25, 20205 yr To me it's all about attitude. 20year old on £180,000 every friggin week is ridiculous, playing for a top club in the prem. and yet he seems half interested. Probably too much going on outside of football. FL has basically said he needs to buck up and show his intentions during training.

I think he is on 120k a week and the 180k being touted is OTE which clearly he is not achieving currently. I think he will get plenty of opportunities this season due to fixture congestion and limited options out wide but like you've stated he needs to focus on impressing in training in order to materialize those opportunities as he is clearly the superior wide player in comparison to Mount.

We are desperate for a good right winger but I can't see Chelsea selling to us, even if we were interested.

That's still a sh*t load of money, and you better produce with that type of wages. You're not a kid that's on 40-45k a week. I don't think either Tammy nor Mount is making 100-120k a week?

When he started he had blistering pace which meant he could take on players on the outside as well and be effective on the right wing .. but that seems to have gone away for some reason.. I don’t think he is the best dribbler around but has a great first tough .. he good cross, vision and pass on him..

United are so left-oriented we look like football's equivalent of the Socialist Workers' Party. Wan-Bissaka is not a wing back by any stretch so a player like Hudson-Odoi would be ideal. I doubt Chelsea would sell to us though and even if they did, the player might not fancy the set-up at United.

Food for thought.

September 26, 20205 yr Still hoping that CHO can be the super star we all hoped but at some point he has to start performing and taking his chance when it comes. When you look back at the 2017 England U17 squad, CHO was arguably the best player, along with Phil Foden and Sancho. The other two are making great strides, just down to CHO to do the same thing.
September 26, 20205 yr Decent cameo by Callum. Was dangerous as soon as he was moved to the left and got himself a nice goal. Today showed that our team is desperate for players who can beat their man. Adds another dimension to the game. Apart from him and Pulisic, we haven't really got a player of that profile in our attack. At times he could still show more urgency I feel, but this was an encouraging sign today, after a dire outing against Barnsley. Will probably start against Tottenham, where he can hopfully continue this upwards trajectory.
September 26, 20205 yr He played well after early moving to the Left side, the takeway is he cannot play wide Right.
