I will be livid if he gets sold to Bayern. Anyone can see this kid is an amazing footballer, he has such great skills and ball control, electric pace, his delivery is excellent and he can finish. Give him some game time in the league and he will impress, i am sure he can be our new answer for right wing. Sell him to Bayern and sit and watch rip it up over and be left kicking ourselves whilst spending 70m on players that turn out to be crap.

People were quick to turn on Christianson after Barca and the next few games. It’s tough on young players in top games.

A small minority turned on him, the rest of us didn't even blink.

For one thing it would be devastating to their confidence to screw up majorly in a huge game.

Screwing up and making mistakes is all part of the game, what's important is how a player reacts to those errors, how they deal with it mentally.

Sure, and I bet you’d have nothing to say if those mistakes cost us top 4 or dumped us out of a major cup, right? Yes youngsters need to be able to make mistakes, but that’s why managers don’t drop them in at the deep end in important games. For one thing it would be devastating to their confidence to screw up majorly in a huge game.

So at what age are you old enough? At some point or other you have to play. Fans on the whole are far more forgiving of a youngster starting up.

Compare him to our other wingers who we hoped would break through - musonda jr and Gael kakuta and I already know he's going to turn out a hell of a lot better than them. Stupidity to sell, just  bite the bullet and tell him he will play. If he played 28 league games next year and you played Willian/Pedro for the games against the big 6 to play more solid defensively I'd be willing to bet big CHO would outscore and assist any numbers Willian would of produced in the other 28 games

Spurs would be a good test for him, if he is still able to deliver those telling crosses I would say he has a strong future here as no-one else here has that in their tool box.

Though I have only seen that delivery on the right side not the left side. On the left he can cut in and shoot on his right and score yet equally we have others that can also do that.

Out of curiosity don't Bayern have Leon Bailey ? How's he been doing there ?

Bailey plays for Leverkusen

Bayern need a wide player, but CHO wouldn't be a starter. He'd be a bench player and get some minutes.

Same as what it should be here if Sarri woke up and realised we need attacking players to play attacking football.

Everyone talks about Sancho but Sancho was a bench player who forced his way into the first team with insane stats. Dortmund didn't give it to him.

He does both, he can cross with either foot, shoot with either foot.

Asked after the game if Foden would go out on loan to get more game time, Guardiola said: "Phil Foden loan? No way. No way. Impossible. He is going to stay with us for many, many years. Impossible."

^^^ This is the type of attitude and public statement I would like from our club/manager with respect to CHO.  Obviously going to be a special player.  Haven't felt this excited by a Chelsea player since Arjen Robben.

Anyone but Sarri who feels Pedro, and even more laughably Willian, are a better fit for the team for the almighty "defensive phase" everyone needs to work on. Look like he defended well to me, better than Eden did, yesterday. But sure pick Willian cause he is, admittedly, a very hard working player who helps defend and, if we are lucky, can put 2 out of 100 crosses/corners in to a dangerous area.

Only Forest but his performance made a mockery of how little Sarri has played him this season

So did ampadu. Sarri said he could not rest Kante last year cause he had no midfielder who could play that role. Whoops wrong again gaffa please dont piss off another one of our truly gifted youngsters in to leaving.

I'd play him against Spurs, would be a kick in the teeth if we drop him for someone who hasn't performed for a month now. We have seen Willian playing against teams like Forest, it's not like he's carving them up.

Brahim Diaz has just signed for real Madrid for £22m. It's pretty crazy to think 18 months ago, we spanked a man city youth team 6-2 in the fa cup final, that contained Diaz, Foden, and Sancho!

CHO, Mount, and James, are probably the stand outs from that team, city have already lost 2 of their 3 gems, let's hope we manage to keep and nurture ours.

I love the fact that he always has his back to the touchline looking to attack the box, rather than just pegging up and down the wing, must be a nightmare for the right side of defence, when a winger just uses the line to run it's easier for defenders to squeeze them out.

Now you're really trying too hard, mate.  Neither one shone in the first half.  I had a few words of encouragement with CHO during half-time, and look how that turned out.  Sadly, not so much with Emerson.

What "hate"  Do you honestly, really, truly think he played well?  Particularly in the first half?

Objective player review google says "

EMERSON

A decent free-kick effort early in the first half was about as good as it got for the left-back.

Morata should have finished off from his looping cross soon after, but a surprisingly quiet night for the fringe man."

No hate from me towards ANY of our players, not like some in here. I know you have a manly erection for Emerson nearly all of the time, but he really wasn't that good.
