December 23, 20178 yr We deserved to win here, it was disappointing not to find the net, but we were looking to score and didn't stop to attack them. Hard to play without a striker, Hazard is not a false 9, he can offer us much more when he plays with freedom. We had to take the 3 points here, our defence was brilliant but the attack didn't hit. Also, seriously, we've had Callum Hodson on the bench, a striker who can offer more danger and more ability to score. Moses hasn't done something wrong to get replaced by Zappacosta who was very poor. Why couldn't we give the kid a chance, he couldn't lose us the game in 10 minutes, only add attacking ability. I will never understand that. Anyways, let's hope we will look how to improve ourselves, especially in our attacking abilities. COME ON CHELS!!!
December 23, 20178 yr to those complaining about Bats .... WHAT ABOUT PEDRO AND WILLIAN BEING IN THE STARTING TEAM AND BEING UTTERLY DROSS!!!!! Bats should have started and then this game would have been a guaranteed three points... But hey, Willian hates tottenham so he could get a pass even if he's been bad for the last 2 months !!!

It means you're useless and shouldn't be part of the team. Which he is, clearly. We had a decent but not great fullback in Moses, so instead of upgrading we bought this. That's what happens when you spend half of what a top quality fullback costs nowadays, you end up with crap.
December 23, 20178 yr Just now, Scott Harris said: Poor from us, we have lost everything that made us Champions last season. No longer clinical, no longer finding a way through, overly reliant on Hazard, and back to struggling against packed defenses. The lack of improvements over the summer has been clear to see this season. I don’t think it is a case of new shiny players, we just lack a pattern of play. You watch Liverpool, City, Spurs & Arsenal and you can see what their players are trying to do.

December 23, 20178 yr So glad to see you back Sam,you fat ,boring w**ker. No shots on target playing at home.I remember Everton sides who played good football,oh dear. You might stay up but with him in charge i wish you wouldnt. The amount of fouls Hazard has to contend with week in week out with little protection from sh*t referees is disgusting.Rant over.....UP THE CHELS !
December 23, 20178 yr What a shi**y performance. Offencively total crap. Poor game by both Willian and Pedro. Hazard was not at his best. Zappacosta is a total flop, rideculous performance today. Fab AMD Bats didn't bring anything etc. We should buy a striker and couple of wingbacks in January, probably don't get anyone.

He is constantly overlooked in attack when he is one of the few players with old style Chelsea power. What makes you think he can drive forward with the ball? If he was capable of it, we'd have seen it by now. So far he's looked more like a donkey impersonating a footballer.
December 23, 20178 yr BEGIN RANT / WOW is all i got to say. I have no reaction to what i just saw. I am not sure what pisses me off - one thing- It is not Everton's stubborn defense. I know we had a mid week game but boy did our midfield seem a step behind, too many misplaced passes, too much lazing around, even the subs Fabergas and Zappacosta were srolling and misplacing passes. There is no excuse to that and there shouldnt be. Moses for Zappacosta substitution completely neutered our attack on the right. Batshuayi contributed nothing. If not for Eden Hazard I dont think we would be having half our chances. I think for this year he is MR Chelsea(atleast if u look at our offense). I am glad this year is a washout in a few ways - with the way City is running away with the league we need to spend on A grade players - the likes of Zappacosta wont do squat! And if that is going to be our range - buying the Zappacostas of the world, then we are better off giving our youth a chance cos they seem to perform just as subpar as these players. On one end we see Arsenal and Liverpool find ways to score and only lose cos of their sh*tty defense - Our offense beyond Hazard and Moratta (even he is not consistent) is just bang average. / END RANT
December 23, 20178 yr Allardyce wanted his point. He got it. No point moaning at him. It's Conte who should be getting the stick. Who would have thought? Everyone under Allardyce playing this way for a point? Poor Conte. Poor Chelsea. How were they supposed to see that coming?

A fair few consider conte to be a tactical genius of the highest order so criticising his choices may land you in hot water. In other news you are right. Zappa for Moses is and always is a waste of a sub on a poorer player. Only needed if Moses is done in.

Yeah I know, sorry was just being sarcastic. That was as poor a sub performance I have seen for someone who is trying to take his chances. However I think he knows that he’s not a Conte player and won’t feature, time to move on I think. in saying that his was the worst sub performance I’ve seen I think maybe Zappacosta might have been pushing him for that honour.

December 23, 20178 yr Today's performance is one of those games where a lot of the blame can go to the board. They wait until the last day of the transfer window before they start looking for a fullback and a back-up striker, and we end up with Zappacosta and no striker.
December 23, 20178 yr We had people everywhere but when a ball comes into the middle of the penalty area, suddenly no one there. Desperately need better performances out of Willian and Pedro in these types of games when they get starts. We're not going to win games if we keep trying to walk the ball into the net everytime. Everton's luck today was unreal, Williams header attacked the crossbar and Hazard's shot was slowed down by Kante into Pickford's hands. It also didn't help that we tried forcing in crosses even when it's not working. Can't blame what Everton did when we've achieved things playing like that. 20+shots and not one goes in.

Glad to observe i am not the only one who is worried about our lack of height. I don't see the point of long balls when we know our trio are not physically capable of getting these balls. And for people saying Willian is taller, he is still not getting the ball, so what is the point ?
December 23, 20178 yr We lack ideas, pace and penetration. It's quite frustrating to see how are passing the ball arround aimlessly. Moses has put one good cross in, not good enough at this level. Pedro poor. Baka? I personally i don't understand. Conte insisting with him, he has offer very little in every single game he played. We need reinforcements in Jan. We are miles away from Man City. All seems to be cobbled together in hope that something will come out of it, a bit of a fluke. Hence a lot of people here put huge hopes for a super-hero, be it Hazard or Morata, and forget that this is a team sport. As it stands, we are a team in decline, quickly running out of ideas, and I am concerned we might miss out on top 4 spot this season.

I'd have to say though, this one here by yourself is more indicative of a 12 year old's.... Which is what a lot of fans turn into after a game like this so... I can't say I really blame you. :p
