Andy Carroll - Football has gone mad

I generally want to be supportive of players that join us, no matter their quality - Pato, Falcao even Papy
But this...this is just outrageous.

i said before we shouldn't have got rid of falcao, never had enough time here tbh. he leaves and tears it up for monaco.

the links are back from matt law. i do hope matt law's sources are way off because a signing like this would be indefensible. the fact he titles an article with us looking at carroll as loan to fix our goal drought is automatically a pisstake. carroll's goal scoring stats are horrific the past two seasons, that is not fixing a goal drought lol. benteke was also mentioned, which i could somewhat get behind as he has proven he can score when he's on form. the other guy boakye is a mystery.

i really don't understand the obsession with looking for a big strong target man. it's obvious conte wanted lukaku to fix that, but that kind of proves to me we want to play solely one way and it's disappointing when you see city vs liverpool, or even spurs play so effectively without that height up top, just skill and technical ability.

At the mo think most of us would take him back over Carroll. How much for Carroll? A cool 40mill?

this has to be a United supporting journo taking the piss, on a wind up because they are getting Sanchez.

........hoping desperately lol

this is an article of matt law's today. the jury is still out on matt law for me, not sure how reliable he really is after the luiz debacle he got wrong. swear he's just rehashing sh*t that's been reported by crappy journos/papers. i hope so anyway

He's still not the same player since the injury, and I don't trust that French league when it comes to records.

I know nothing of the red star striker but I would much rather benteke than Carroll. Least he would know was his last chance on the big stage. Still though. Targets from relegation contenders.

Maybe the red star player is decent?

Nope he isn’t. He got sold by an Italian team because he wasn’t good enough.

Just recall Tammy for Pete’s sake.

Remember reading that there was a clause in loan deal for Abraham that if he played a certain amount of games, which he's already reached, he can't be recalled in January...besides, Tammy been struggling for a few months so hardly ideal time to bring him into the chelsea pressure cooker anyway

Id understand this signing if he wasent so injury prone. He seems like an alternative to Lorente but there is a good chance of him getting injured for a long period of time and he wont come cheap either if its a transfer. The club should learn from buying expensive back up strikers. Buy another quality one to compete with Morata to create competition.

This is almost too funny to even be angry about. Just outright bizarre. The ONLY way any of these rumours make sense is if the board and conte have already agreed to part ways in summer.

Board probably see no reason to drop a load of cash on players for a manager that’s leaving, just buying a couple of bare essentials on the cheap.

Depressing stuff once again from the champions of England.

When we buy players as per our managers , our Board always buys what they liked and this time they just turnedout as misers , seems russian economy is not doing good and Mr Roman is in need of money

Can't say i'm surprised.

Watch us buy Charlie Adam next to "solve" our midfield issues.
Could always break Flanagan out of jail as well to give us that elusive depth at wingback. You know, while we are already chasing Liverpool-rejects.

Champions of England going for Liverpool rejects. Blows my mind.
