He's effective, and we absolutely are capable of creative the right chances for him if he was in the team.  

In a more attacking side that isn't playing against a packed defense maybe. In Germany, there aren't many teams that play defensive or make things too difficult for the strikers, it's not a surprise he scored so many there. It's the type of league that suits him perfectly. Premier League defenders never make it easy for you, that is why he has never looked good when starting games. He's a good goal poacher coming off the bench over here, but he's not a good player to start games in. Also, it's like i said, we don't create chances for poacher type strikers so he wouldn't even get those types of chances for us.

If that is true then that is f**king embarrassing. All of this money spent on average quality could easily have gone to much better players than this. If our board can't find better for £40m (Bakayoko) £30m (Drinkwater) £25m (Zappacosta) and potentially another £30m (Carroll) then they aren't doing their jobs properly. All of this money made on players sold is being wasted.

We have been holding back spending on top players because they are too expensive, but seem to be fine with spending obscene amounts on average players......it makes no sense. There is no way we will remain competitive at the top if we continue down this road. We are buying players that are around Everton and Southampton quality, mid table type players, that is where we will end up if we are not careful.

In all seriousness no one is going to pay £30-35 million for Andy bloody Carroll.  I'm sorry but this is just made up nonsense.

Does our board understand that if you combine fees such as 25m, 30m and 45m it adds up to 100m? I know we need squad fillers, but quality still trumps quantity. We can't have an entire squad made up out of Andy Carrolls and Danny Drinkwaters ( with all due respect to them).

£30-£35 million? It could be Sanchez in a Carroll suit? With one of those stick on ponytails from Del boy.

If West Ham can get £30 million for Carroll whilst keeping a straight face throughout the deal then fair play to them.

i feel the same , United was behind Lucas , now they are behind Sanchez , so we can get Lucas from PSG

Literally everyone in football thinks this is a ridiculous sh*t signing. How can this be happening at our club, I’m honestly livid about the thought of him on loan, never mind 30m. Its true though, we have the worst board possible, a table of monkeys could do better,they are miles away from knowing what the fans want,miles away from what the manager wants, complete incompetence at the highest level
