Yea I'd take Giroud over Llorente, but why did we miss Sandro? A left back in general in the window? Stones? koulibaly. There are a plethora of examples of players we missed recently because we wouldn't pay and city and UTD get what they want because they pay, its that simple. Even when they do want to sell she lowballs and pisses them off, I mean even liverpool understand when you want a big player you pay and you get it done. 

And what the f**k do Arsenal fans know about anything. Look up the word 'Delusional.' and underneath it will say 'Arsenal fan.'

I feel like the only fan who despises this transfer. Having a loyal Arsenal player who probably despises Chelsea really pisses me off.

I feel like 10 years ago the fans wouldn't have accepted this transfer. Times are changing.

10 years ago we did the exact same thing and signed Ashley Cole, expect he'd been there longer and came through their ranks, so was even more of a Gooner than Giroud.

His beard looks ridiculous.

Jesus how did I miss that. But the transfers are different. Ashley burned all bridges at Arsenal coming here, completely different than what happened with Giroud who is leaving on great terms with Arsenal fans.

Arsenal fans probably would have preferred cech did the same. Will judge him based on what he does for us. 

Will be happy if, at the very least, he shows complete work ethic and effort and does not fall over if a player sneezes in his direction.

Me too, don't understand the amount of negative comments. You can't expect Lewandovsky and Auba level players to come and be happy as second choice strikers. Giroud is a proven goal scorerer, his is not too old, Conte is not trusting Bats etc. I think we will be happy for this signing.

 

(And yes, for me too he has been very annoying player when he played for Arse, but hey he is wearing a blue shirt now!)

I'm fine with Olivier but I'd still rather have 3 strikers as an option in order to play a proper 352 and in case of injuries.

Not gonna lie I would preferred dzeko, but maybe giroud will surprise the doubters. 

Obviously not an incredible transfer, but I like this Giroud move - different player from Morata and will provide a new and different threat (hopefully) on set pieces. Conte playing Eden/Willian/Pedro as frontmen was just not a suitable option.

Well i don't know, maybe the £33m player we haven't given a run in the team to on the bench...

He seems to score a lot of late goals for Arsenal, would be great if he can do the same for us.

I think Michy will get playing time at Dortmund, and hopefully develop further.  I mean they developed PEA nicely (Newcastle bid on him a few seasons back, and were turned down prior to him leaving to Dortmund), so hopefully with PEA not in the way MB can get some minutes and develop.

What Giroud offers us is some strength up front, and familiarity with the premiership.   I think the same could obviously be argued about Dzeko, but if the price was twice what we paid for Giroud, I don't think we should be scorning Giroud just yet.  Solid player, good back up, better touch and link up than Batshuayi.  Welcome
