I’d take a Giroud Costa swap deal. Come back Diego!

We want Sarri ball, not wrecking ball !

No point selling him, he's the perfect plan B, or C, or even A ( just ask the French National team).

Problem is, he's not clinical enough. He does offer something different, but can't see how Sarri would use him in this system.

Why loan him for a year when he's only got another year on his contract with us anyway (or year and a half)?  I'd much prefer we kept him, or if he doesn't fit, then sell (I don't want that though)

Marseille are in for him allegedly.

Makes sense, they were apparently going to sign Balotelli on a free after leaving Nice on a free but talks broke down over wages.

Giroud would be an equally big signing for them, if not bigger after the World Cup win.

Scored tonight for France

this past month Our Head & Shoulder's Model is making a case to be the starting #9 for Chelsea

Olivier is a great player. He will hardly bring you 20 goals, but the way he links with the men behind him is top 5 in the world. If you have someone like Mbappe, Hazard, Griezmann or Pedro, you play him because he does open space for them like nobody else in this team could.

I think Giroud could easily bring 20 goals if he was starting week in week out, he hasnt let us down when he plays, he has to start for us over morata who is not cut out for premier league football. Giroud needs to start and use morata as an impact sub until we can replace both hopefully in the not to distant windows.

Fair enough point but are you trying to win an award for worst Avatar in the history of this forum?

Has to be starting every league game from now on, if he does we can win the league, or at least get top 3.

But we must get some serious striking power next season, and Olivier for back up.

Once again proved himself to be superior to Morata even when he doesn't score. If Morata isn't scoring he offers nothing yet Giroud (even putting aside the assists) was involved in much of our best build up and made a big impact on the match.

He simply must be the first choice this year.

Happy for Giroud and glad he is playing well, but my question is - where do we go from here in the striking department?

We can rely on Olivier short term and win.  But it’s apparent we do need reinforcements up top.

There’s just not much quality in the striker market these days and it’s not hard to see why. If you have a good one, you keep him.

Gave the team a great option as a target man and also he was like wall where the players could just bounce passes off him and get them back. Was in the right places all over the pitch. The scary thing is Morata must see this everyday and hasn’t adapted under two managers on helping the team in build up play.

Bring back Bats in January and give him 6 months to prove himself, if he can't get rid of him and Morata in summer and hope our scouts can find someone that fits Sarri's style.

Though I wouldn’t be opposed to that, I think loaning Batshuayi essentially ended his Chelsea career.

I think Icardi is the one striker who will be “gettable”, but it would be surprising if we sign him.

I am happy with this guy as our number 1 striker. Yeah he dont score much, but put the likes of Hazard and Willian around him and he will play his part in ripping defences to shreds.

He's doing the same for us as what he does for France internationally with Mbappe and Griezmann, cannot complain.

Olivier and Eden practically have intercourse when they play together.

Whereas Morata is the guy who always gets left out of the 'keys in a bowl' scenario at a swinger party.

In Giroud we trust!
