  1. 1. Here are the current favorites with Conte included. Jody Morris is in there as he is the current youth team manager, and promoting from within seems to have worked for Barca, so why not us?!

Personally I don't think any of these managers are better than Conte, if given full control over incoming transfers and outgoing I truly believe we'll win the league again.

Sadly that's not how the club operates and it does look as though bridges have been completely burnt with the board and players so probably best we move on and that does look to be happening sooner rather than later.

It looks to be between Sarri and Enrique, don't know much about Sarri only what's been said on this thread but I have to admit the lack of trophies worries me but more than happy to be proved wrong.

You would think if it is either of those 2 managers big money would need to be spent in order to get the team playing their style of football.

I think you'll struggle to find someone who disagrees with you there, the point is however that Conte himself clearly wants to leave.

Manager update -

• Sarri has left Napoli, Ancelotti takes over

• Confirmed by most major sources, Sarri now very close to Chelsea

• Conte departure inevitable

Even Simeone vs Conte? Not sure about this one... anyway, I believe the issue with the new coach is about his style, not the quality and who is better than whom. And looking at this list, I don't see a difference in style of playing, motivation, behaviour on the sideline etc.

Fair enough.

I saw that too. I think we have a new manager in our sights.

How? When last have we every done anything at all like this?

Targeting Tolisso and signing Bakayoko instead. Having RLC and instead sending him on loan to sign Drinkwater for 35m. Having De Bruyne but selling him and because of Oscar. Having Salah but selling him because of Willian/Schurrle/etc. I can go on and on.

While I liked Salah personally, you cannot deny that he was below average during his time with us.
De Bruyne equally was competing with Mata and Oscar and £35m was a good price for him at the time.

Also without Salah and De Bruyne we won two league titles, a league cup and now an FA Cup.

I just have this strong opinion that De Bruyne should never have been sold, he looked full of desire and will to become a new leader of the whole team and he wanted the ball in his feet so much and freedom that Jose just didn't approve.

Based on absolutely nothing, you've taken a silent couple hours to come to this conclusion and fabricated a doomsday scenario. Based on nothing.

Last seasons transferwindow is too fresh in my mind for me not to be paranoid about this. Until he is signed I can't help but feel Marina will screw this up somehow.

Fabregas just posted this. Hmmm...?

I think fabregas could have a new lease of life under sarri, especially if we don't have rely on him every game.

He's still quality when we have the ball, and under sarri, you would expect us to be more dominant in possession.

Salah hardly got a proper run of games and neither did KDB. You can't judge a young player based on one or two cup games where he was poor. And this is the same for the fans who right now think RLC isn't Chelsea quality. He hasn't even gotten a proper run of games in a Chelsea shirt. We keep making the same mistake over and over.

I think we'd all like to see conte, if he stays, fully backed.  But i think we can all agree too, that he may not want  to stay, which is my hunch. And its not just us fans who think that, pundits on sky etc all believe it, too.

Getting hyped for Sarri!

Hazard will flourish under him if he's the one we're getting.

Hope so, for me it depends who we go into next season with in midfield, if Barkley/Bakayoko are anywhere near the first team I'm confident we're not making top 4.

I don't think I've ever seen a Sarri game before, but damn you've got me excited now. Imagine that kind of play with Willian and Hazard.. :droolsmiley:

Watching them play with the ball in their own corner makes me scared thinking about Cahill and Bakayoko trying to make those quick passes. His style of football is incredibly attractive but I'm not sure we have anywhere near the personnel to attempt this style at the moment.
