Next Chelsea Manager

  1. 1. Here are the current favorites with Conte included. Jody Morris is in there as he is the current youth team manager, and promoting from within seems to have worked for Barca, so why not us?!

Thinking Conte will stay implies that Player Power doesn't run this club
Just a glance at the sagas of Jose and AVB tells you it does.

Every successful club has player power to a degree, as Roy Keane said you don't win titles with submissive choir boys.

Anyway Jose's demise wasn't down to player power, AVB's was a bit though and boy i am glad the players won there because if they didn't we would likely still been waiting for our first CL.

There's no doubt in my mind we want Sarri badly and are using Blanc and others as a way of scaring Napoli into thinking we'll hire someone else if they prove too difficult, which isn't fooling them or anybody else for that matter.

Napoli's president is notoriously hard to do business with. We could have just paid Sarri's release clause and he'd be with us by now. I reckon we're going to seriously regret not paying the money. Not because we won't get our man but because it will cost us even more to get him now. Napoli will drive a harder bargain and eventually we'll wilt. They know they hold the aces.

Edit: Meanwhile we don't have a manager. Absolute idiocy.

We do have a manager, Conte. He joined the pre-season.

Real fixes manager issue for a week, we know we will have to change manager long ago and our board is doing sh*** once again, and there is some people that defend them blindly ....

When they going to learn from their mistakes? If you ask me - never. They are repeating the same mistake over and over again.

We already should have new manager long, long ago, and he should have been start working on selection.

Now he will not get proper time to get use with the players and to see who is good enough for the team and who is not. Most of the new player that will come, would once again not be fit ready for the season to start, forget about doing preparation together ...

Once again we will be late on the market and the price will be very high, and the quality would be long gone.

Repeating the same thing over again.

And who is moving the thing arround now ? It`s Marina.

And in the end of course it will be the manager fault and he won`t be good enough.

And it`s fun how some guys pray for Sarri and also the board is obvious keen only on him, when this a guy that in his whole career win absolutely nothing .....

Fixtures out this morning, the season is ticking nearer, and the reality is we have a manager who doesn't want to be here and we don't want him here, we haven't got a replacement yet, we have no DOF, our owner not allowed in country, no new ground now, and our top players are potentially looking at other options. Well it's exciting anyway, who the hell would want to support a boring club with stability, and run in professional manner, Chelsea FC certainly isn't a well oiled business machine, but it's fun.

I should have known there would be no movement or announcements before the start of the world cup. Now for a rushed and short pre-season once again.

You moaned about us changing our manager and now you moan about us not changing him soon enough. If he's still here he could be staying for another season so you should be happy. Never seen a bigger bunch of rabble than some of your posts.

“Ramadani (Sarri’s agent) is back in Milan, works for the new Chelsea. Ramadani is working for the new Chelsea: Albiol aside, a name to follow is Rugai not inferrable for Juve and that Sarri wanted in Naples.”

Matt Law also reporting that Napoli’s are willing to let Sarri go for £3.5m.

I haven't got  a f**king clue what that all means,   especially APPH, but it's quite flattering that it exists.

And yet Napoli have two.  Weird world, eh?

There"s a new Chelsea? Hopefully tastier and healthier

Is that a typo? does he mean Rugani?

Rugani would make sense having played under sarri at empoli. We seem to getting linked to a lot of centre backs. Albion, Kouilbaly, Savic, and now Rugani.

I can see at least 1 of Zouma, Luiz, and Cahill being moved on then. I think Rudiger and Christiensen will definately stay though.

So, we didn’t manage to get our manager in before the World Cup started then.
Astonishing really.
And very few expect that a solution is just around the corner even so God knows when we know who will manage us this season.

Someone should remind the board the season starts in less than seven weeks.

All the usual moaners trying to argue that this process has cost him time with the players etc :laugh2:

If we appoint him next week, he'll start with zero hours with the players. If we'd appointed him two weeks ago right now he'd have about errrm zero hours with the players.

All players whether heading to the World Cup or not have been on holiday for weeks. It's very rare a player from any nation of note makes a transfer while still in the World Cup either so most transfer activity will take place once sides start getting knocked out and for players not at the World Cup business can be done as usual.

Very few transfers have been done by our rivals either. United have basically signed one player in Fred (Dalot will be backup RB) and Liverpool had the Keita deal done last summer have signed Fabinho quickly because they have lost Emre Can. Arsenal have had their new manager in place for the best part of a month and have signed a 34 year old free agent.

You guys need to relax but I get the feeling you all enjoy being hysterical about something that couldn't be further out of your control.

Oh it's all Marina's fault. And before that it was Emeraldo's fault.

These people are just middle management. They report to, and no doubt are directed by R.A.

They are carrying out his wishes. If this was not the case they would be sacked.

Rather than continuously blaming the board, why don't you just be a man about it and blame the owner?

There is a lot work to do, before just doing the transfer.

The manager and the board have to agree on the transfer target.

Hazard and the other players are also not happy.

Did you think the other clubs are stupid, by getting the manager early?

Isn`t it obvious we always messed it?

Real Madrid get the manager change in surprise, yet they react so fast and try to get a lot of candidates and in a week time they have new manager.

Arsenal apoint their manager long ago.

PSG anounce their manager long ago.

Bayern Munich done that. Borussia Dortmund has done that.

Tell me a big club, who is still not changing the manager and it`s about to do it ?

Yeah there is none.

And a lot of deal have happened or has been close to be done. They may only wait to reval them after the World Cup or most of the job on some transfer is almost done and they need minor job to finish.

We are going to start from a complete zero and will be far behind.

Ewell CFC, Abramovich is not a football expert. He hire worker to do the job. But the worker lastly f**** hard.
I don`t remember before Marina get the promotion/rise when we constantly playing hard to get and low-balling offers just makes clubs respect us less, less likely to sell players to us, and less likely to accept the prices we put on our players.

You didn’t consider all our competitors will have decided which players they will try to buy by now.
We can’t do that because we have no clear plan, no DOF and no manager.

We have had sh*t transfer windows the last three years under the best of conditions. Right now, we are a mess, it’s hard to be optimistic.

Any of those clubs have a coach they had to pay off as well as a release clause to get their new manager? Lets not act like all clubs are operating under the same restrictions.

RIP, Then who`s fault is that we have to pay another manager for sacking him ? Who`s fault is we target the new one again with a release clause?

They have so much time to choice the right replacement, they failed in this as well.

If your determined to find a scapegoat the obvious answer is Roman himself. Of course you like having " bogeymen" figures on the board to blame.

I get the impression that your wary of criticising the main man himself, because somehow that would be sacrilegious.

Much easier just to drone on and on about the incompetence of everyone else.

What bolax, even for your standards.

No one said they shouldn't be doing better, but you trying to make out the managers aren't doing wrong is pathetic, Conte is paid more in a year then most of us here get in a lifetime to get the best out of what he's got, and last season he didn't even get remotely close.

Can people stop saying that we have no coach? Not specifically aimed at you Sindre , but I've already read several times other posters saying we have no coach, and it is false. Conte is still our coach and so it says in the Chelsea FC website. You may not want him to be, you may want Sarri to be our new coach, but do not say that we have no coach because the truth is that we DO have a coach, Conte, and we have no clue whether the board want to sack him and bring Sarri, Blanc, Enrique... or just keep him.
