February 25, 20188 yr Watford and Bournemouth have really done us in. A missed opportunity you can't afford to get nothing from.
February 25, 20188 yr 3 losses in 4 and possibly will end up being 4 losses in 5 in the league. Pathetic from Conte & the team who have most likely cost us top four next season.

And people keep saying we’ve got to play City, Spurs and Liverpool yet, but I’m just as concerned about a trip to Burnley coming. Be amazed if we get 3 points out of there.
February 25, 20188 yr Still have spurs and Liverpool to play at home, even if we lose next week, there is still all to play for, especially if the teams above us progress further in europe. We should be in a better position than we are now, too many dropped points in games we should be winning.
February 26, 20188 yr I think the thing is we are now out of the top 4 and no longer in control, we need others to slip up and I cannot see us getting much out of City so the gap is likely to grow. Next up Liverpool and Spurs are both at home against Newcastle and Huddersfield.......
February 26, 20188 yr We are in a dramatic situation. It’s hard for me to imagine Hazard will stay if we miss out on CL again. I don’t think he’ll accept not being able to play on the biggest stage two out of the last three seasons. So, we need to make it happen. But it’s not looking good right now. Could very well be five points to Tottenham in fourth next sunday.
February 26, 20188 yr Another lose in the next couple of games and we are done for the top 4, the damage was done with those 2 horror games against Bourmouth and Watford. The top 6 loses the occasional game against the rest, but none of the other top 6 dropped 2 games in a row against them. Spurs usually find a way to bully lower teams, and I expect them to do that in games to come. We must beat Spurs, get a win against Liverpool or City, and beat the rest
February 26, 20188 yr According to this we'll be losing 1.1 billion payout from UEFA if we fail to quality for the UCL. Wouldn't be surprised if we end up sacking Conte if he fails to deliver in the next two games
February 26, 20188 yr points will be dropped by all teams in the upcoming games. i think maybe liverpool could nick a spot in top four, but i think spurs are the ones on the ropes tbh along with us. then again, let's not forget utd were dominated by sevilla, who just got smashed 2-5 at home by atletico. i think utd, spurs and us will be fighting for top 4. i don't believe anybody above city are safe from dropping out of top 4, all have vulnerabilities. Hazard and Tibo may leave regardless of whether we make Champs League next season. If they leave we should command large fees for both of them. My concern there is that I have zero confidence if the board when it comes to bringing in an adequate replacement for Hazard.

I think Spurs/Liverpool are nailed on personally, if Kane isn't scoring I think Eriksen/Alli/Son and now Moura/Lamela will pitch in with goals for them, and Liverpool have stepped up a level at the perfect time. United are the only team I could conceivably see missing out, but that's only if we improve our form. Edited February 26, 20188 yr by the special one

Assuming 30-40M Euro based on which stage we get knocked out of.

Maybe this way we will be forced into building a team with homegrown produce.

The next 2 weeks are huge for us. we play city and need to win and pool play utd the week after. Conte will be gone imo regardless if he gets us in the CL or not. At this moment in time we are not playing well enough to make top 4. I hope im wrong because the EL is trash.
February 26, 20188 yr Author If we are to get top 4, we will need to go on an unbelievable run. Anything but we win against City will leave us a minimum 4 points behind Spurs with 10 games left. Personally I don’t think this team is capable of going on an excellent 10 game hot streak, not this season anyway.
March 4, 20188 yr Any hope i did have has completed gone after today's performance. We now need one of the others to slip up twice, and for us to win all of our remaining games, and after that performance, i know we don't have it in us to do that. The others want it more than us, you can see that on the pitch, the heart has clearly gone from this team. It's win the Champions League or we play Europa League next season (and most likely without Hazard too) sh*te season, if i had the power to end it now, i would. March 4, 20188 yr Race is over I think. Spurs and Liverpool are in better form at the right time for them.
March 4, 20188 yr Lets hope Utd beat Liverpool on Saturday, at our best we can beat both Liverpool at Spurs at home.
