Injuries seem to be catching up with him a bit nowadays, only managed 18 league appearances last season, seven of them from the bench and just the one goal.

His biggest positive used to be his goal scoring threat, cutting in from the left but he's only scored 13 goals in the last four seasons.

Whatever the injury he had at Chelsea before we sold him, seems to have messed him up since, showed so much promise for us in his first season.

I remember I didn't want him sold, I thought selling him at the time could cost us the league title because Willian was offering nothing and Schurrle was always a goalscoring threat to bring on.

I'm really surprised to see how his career has turned out after leaving Chelsea.

Yes Fulham have signed Seri and kept Sessengnon, see them surviving this season with the odd big scalp.

...and I wonder what big scalp that will be...

Aha, is the glass half empty or half full yet with Chelsea old boy Schurrle recently arriving that does suggest the annoying possibility of that player playing out of their skin when they meet us!

Manure fans all full of doom and gloom before the season has even started. Loving it

Mourinho looks miserable before a ball is kicked, fans aren't happy, the odd player or two isn't happy. It's got a similar feeling to what we were like in Mourinho's last season.

He's been looking miserable since Real Madrid practically.

He looked fine that match at Anfield

And I remember him smiling sitting in a car with his son after beating Arsenal once again in his final Chelsea season, but that is about it. Hardly ever looks like he is enjoying himself anymore. Not that I skip happily in the corridors at my workplace, but compared to his first 2 seasons with us, the difference is striking. Or is that just wishful thinking that he was happiest when he was with us first time? Or perhaps it's just too stressful a job.

The Special one only has himself to blame, he imploded and the only decent job he could get in the UK was at UTD about 300 miles North away from his family.

He's hitched his wagon to Pogba. If Pogba starts pulling them through matches and rallying the troops Jose may make it the season. If not or Pogba turns on him it's all over immediately

Ah, that's an Interesting point, it all hinges on Pogba this season. Or perhaps some other player to rise up and lead them to the title (or CL).

Yup, get the popcorn!

Klopp embarrassing himself with a big whinge.

We all know [Gareth] Bale can do that but he probably put more balls from that situation in the stands than in the goal. If that’s not luck then I don’t know what is.

All great goals are lucky, because scorers often miss.

Hasn’t he just signed a new contract as well? These are normally the ingredients for a disasterous Mourinho season.

Max Meyer set to join Palace after leaving Shalke.

Zaha replacement maybe?

Former Chelsea boy Patrick Bamford is set to join dirty Leeds United, so we don't like him anymore now.

Telling a Palace fan about him today at work. The fact he’s been a free agent so long and no big clubs have touched him says a lot about him for me.

He’ll be on big wages with a big ego in a new league and he could be another Benteke for them.

Ashley Williams joins Stoke on loan for the season.

Bit of a odd transfer that one turned out to be, Everton massively overpaid for him when he was already on the decline.

Zouma to join Everton maybe?
