Chance to see what might of been with Paredes on now

He wasn’t in the squad. Strange seeing as they are desperate for midfielders atm.

He came on for Verratti!

PSG with their squad look like the new Galacticos, an embarrassment of top talent, I look at their squad and think action will have to be taken to save the game as otherwise it will just be battle of the richest.

Not displeased about Utd losing as that will take the gloss of OGS's impressive start and plant a seed of doubt before we meet them.

The only reason i'd like to see PSG win the champions league is so that the living legend Buffon finally gets his hands on that trophy. I don't like PSG, but if anyone deserves as CL winners medal it's Buffon. Also f**k Man Utd.

PSG are lethal on the counter attack, easily the best in the world at it right now, so they will just let United attack them in the next leg and beat them with a quick counter attack. I hate praising them, but I do love to watch quick and direct football like that. They were strong defensively too.

Also Pogba won't be there and he's kinda their best player. It's safe to put PSG already in the next round.

PSG also plays 4-3-3 like Sarri but they actually defend and don't mind not having the ball in their possession, when you see it, it's a much easier team to make since they can wait for the opponent to make a mistake and punish on a fast counter where their attackers will have much more space but they can play under pressure with the ball as well. Sarri wants perfection in possession that leads to a goal, a much harder task to accomplish.

Does anybody else feel that Solskjaer's face has become even odder through the years? There is more than a hint of Gollum.

Solskjaer is Smeagol. Give it a few years, and the weight of the one ring will turn him into Moyes Gollum. United will have gone full circle.

Reading through the BBC Gossip section this morning and I see Marcelo has said in an interview with Marca that he doesn't speak with Gareth Bale much because Bale can't speak Spanish.

Which is a strange claim because as this interview from 3 years ago would suggest, Bale has a more than passable understanding of the language.... In joke maybe?

Still, odd thing to print given that it's easy to prove false.

As for the United and PSG game.

Not a fan of PSG but I never want any of the English sides to win anything except for us so I'm glad they beat United.

Good that the Solskjaer love in can come to an end too, hopefully takes the wind out of their sails a little bit before we play them.

Glad some of the shine was taken off the OGS love-in last night. Given PSG have flattered to deceive on the big stage for the most part, I wasn't sure how they'd cope without Neymar and Cavani. They looked a bit shaky in the first half but came out all guns blazing in the second and fair play to them, really showed up United weaknesses, which were emphasised when they lost all their pace in attack.

Also, why such hatred for Di Maria? Just because he played for them once and wasn't very good? Fair play for pretending to drink out of that bottle chucked at him and telling them to f*** off after assisting both goals

My bad! He was nowehere to be seen on the sky sports lineup. Thought it was strange.

Glad they turned them over and just hope it knocks their confidence. Can't see them getting a result away with more players fit.

United won't win at PSG, I can even see PSG doubling the score.

Question about the game, what was the reason that United's fans were booing Di Maria since the first minute? If I'm not wrong he hasn't done anything wrong at United, he just didn't perform well like the whole United in that season.

I like Di Maria to be honest and glad he killed United yesterday.

Young should get a european ban for that, unbelievably dangerous.

You know he wont, I don't even think he got carded for it.

LOL this was hilarious, he maybe gets the question but his Spanish is so...his pronunciation is so off and distracting, it doesn't really matter if he understands when a normal Spanish speaker couldn't get over the way Bale talks. Marcelo didn't lie if I were to judge by this video only

no he didn't. it would be his 2nd yellow/red and that was still the 1st half.

some classy coments from classy fans:

Ashley Young has just put Di Maria in to the Old Trafford side fencing Well worth the new contract

Ashley Young just made himself a United hero right there. Impressive

GIVE ASHLEY YOUNG A 10 YEAR CONTRACT.

Ashley Young body checking Di Maria out of Old Trafford is the best thing I've seen all year

That’s the best thing Ashley Young’s done all season!

Di Maria kicked off the pitch by Ashley Young for the second time since 2014.

What did Di Maria even do to United? Just because he played for them and wasn't that good? I'm glad he got the two assists.
