That Sterling Incident

They can't be more fascist by default. Antifa = Anti fascist and nazi, only exists because the far right exists, no far right no antifa.

My issue with Antifa is (for them) everything they say is correct and everyone else’s opinion is wrong.

Any slightly to the right of centre demo, and the far left turn out in massive numbers to stop them having their view.

History shows us that the far left (communists in Soviet Union and China) killed many millions more than the far right (national socialists in Germany)

I wasn’t defending the right, I am equally opposed to extremes at either end of the spectrum. Both are equally intolerant of others with differing views.

If you watch Peterson on YouTube he is normally talking about the right to speak and listen, something neither end of the spectrum seem to allow others to do.

By the way, I work in central Africa on a regular basis, spent at least 2 months there this year, in Kenya, Ghana, Nigeria, Uganda, and have experienced covert racism towards me and within their own societies. It’s not just at the bridge this raises its head.

Just watched Sky News and they were showing the football highlights from yesterday.

Sterling scored, and comment was “scoring when coming on as a substitute in his first appearance since the alledged racist incident at Chelsea”

A week on, the Met still investigating and still “alleged” ??????

Surely with all the resources of the Met they can get to a conclusion soon. How long does it take to talk to the fans around the incident? Most will be season ticket holders sonthe club has their contact details...

Expecting lots of comments on MOTD tonight

‘Chelsea’s first premier league match since the alledged racist incident’

’Chelsea’s first goal since the game with the alledged racist incident’

Wonder how long they can keep this going.

Good point regarding how long does it take investigate.

If the lipreading analysis is inconclusive, I don’t see anyone being given the benefit of the doubt. Too many people have got their knickers into a twist, it will send out the wrong message, everyone is petrified of being seen to be soft on racism .

I will be amazed if there isn’t a ‘ “Chelsea in new Race Storm”  story this afternoon.

Seriously how f**king stupid can people be? They’re probably some self entitled morons who think they’re being clever, being billy big bollocks in front of all their mates while they’re dragging the club through the sh*te filled mud, then trying to rinse that off with piss.

It’s not rocket science, you can’t sing that song anymore. It doesn’t matter if you don’t agree with the reasoning behind it, it doesn’t matter if Spurs fans use the ‘Y’ word. It’s not big. It’s not clever. Just knock it on the head you absolute bunch of imbecilic morons.

So is it only Racist chanting they want to stop, although always in poor taste, Utd and liverpool always have some vile banter, but it isn't illegal, is it ok for that Fan to allegedly(he says) "f**k off Sterling you Manc c**t, or 10,000 Scousers singing at JOSE with the usual, "f**k off Mourinho", just a bit confused by all this ,Racism, Homophopic stuff, the next time i see a fan or hear fans out of line, straight on Twitter!!

Quote

Chelsea Chairman Bruce Buck has today written an open letter to Chelsea supporters all over the world…

After recent events, I wanted to take this opportunity to reach out to our community and fans to condemn the actions of a few mindless individuals at some of our recent matches. These actions are unacceptable and unwelcome both in our club and in football.

A deeply unpleasant but vocal minority which refuses to join us in the 21st century has shamed the great majority of our decent, well-behaved fans. We have been carrying out our own investigations into these events while cooperating fully with authorities. We have already suspended four individuals pending investigations and will continue to take the strongest possible action against anybody found to have been using discriminatory words or gestures. But we must all come together to stamp out these ugly scenes.

Over the past weeks, months and indeed years, I have spoken at length to various Chelsea fans and supporter groups, all of whom are in full agreement that the type of behaviour we have witnessed is wholly unacceptable, hurtful and does not represent the club or the overwhelming majority of those who follow our teams home and away.

The message from Mr Abramovich, our directors, our coaches, our players and our hundreds of staff is simple – this is a club open to everybody. We are committed and determined to be a force for good and not a symbol of society’s wider problems.

Our club prides itself on our inclusion and diversity work, and in particular that of the Chelsea Foundation, which since its birth in 2010 has grown into one of the most far-reaching social programmes in world sport. Its Building Bridges campaign has promoted equality within our club, our stadium and throughout our communities for nearly a decade.

Our Say No to Antisemitism campaign has received widespread backing since its launch in January and as a part of this, we will play a game next May against the New England Revolution in America. We also recently took part in the Rainbow Laces campaign, reinforcing our support for the Chelsea Pride group to increase visibility of and provide a representative voice for the club’s lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) fans, their friends and families.

Other activities include our equality and diversity workshops for primary school children and the annual Asian Star initiative, which for a decade has aimed to increase participation at all levels of the game in British-based Asian communities. Our Disability Showcase debuted in 2018 and saw more than 800 adults and children take part across two days at Stamford Bridge and Cobham. It will make a welcome return next summer.

With Frank Lampard leading the club’s efforts, we joined up with Kick It Out in 2010 to try and rid the game of the Y-word, and have frequently reiterated since, that what other clubs may deem acceptable from their supporters in the way of personal identification does not alter our position of zero tolerance. This will not change now or in the future.

Since 2007, we have provided an SMS service that makes it easier for supporters inside the stadium to report discriminatory behaviour at matches. That number is 07894 937793 and I urge our fans to use this where appropriate and help us beat the plague that threatens to overshadow the fantastic work this club does for inclusion and equality. Alternatively, you can email [email protected].

Clearly, there remains a way to go on this journey, but we will not rest until we have eliminated all forms of discrimination from our club. We will continue to work alongside our fans, anti-discrimination organisations and football authorities to create an environment where everyone feels welcome and valued.

If you do not share these values, this is not the club for you.

We must not allow a small minority of fans to bring further embarrassment upon us, and will continue to take the strongest possible action against them.

I ask our many thousands of match-going supporters and the millions more around the world to work together to help us confront this issue and remove discrimination from our game.

We are determined to win this battle, but we need the backing and action of those who share the principles of this great club.

I think this is a strong and interesting statement from Chelsea. And I find interesting how they, very cleverly, point out that while they were describing Chelsea as the antisemitic club and fans, it is not only a small minority of the CFC supporters that use the word but many supporters of other clubs use it. Hopefully the media, FA and others take note and start pointing at the thousands of Spurs fans that sing the word week in week out. This is the root of these chants. Get rid of the Spurs usage of the word and, in a few years it will be gone.

On the other hand, 3 out of 3000 at Brighton is a 0.1% of the CFC supporters that travelled (me amongst many), and the news should be that we have less antisemitic (and racist) supporters than society in general.

While a strong statement from the club I feel it will have no effect. I find it hard to believe the idiots who continue to drag our name through the mud are capable of reading.

Why does this thread keep getting moved and then added back again?

Only when the newcomer idiots are about does it get hidden for a short while,

I read today that although there was an allegation of racist chanting on the Brighton train no witnesses came forward and no one wanted to offer their name as a complainant to the police.

So again without evidence of racial misconduct the club twice has it's named being dragged through the mud.

The media darlings must really have it in for us.

Communism isn't a system of government. It's an economic theory.

Authoritarian dictators are not left-wing. They are fascists (those two are "Red Fascists" to be precise).

You are confusing antifa with tankies. No-one is going out protesting racist authoritarian nationalists holding a banner of Stalin. That would be stupid.

And I doubt you've ever met a single antifa anyway. Just heard scare stories about them in the press where they are treated as some form of deluded whataboutery in the name of "balance". Most of the worst things you've heard about "antifa" were probably false flags.

Anyway, Colonialism/Imperialism caused more death than any "left wing" economic theory. There is no moral high ground when it comes to those. They've all done good and they all done bad. We tend not to talk about that cos, well, it was us. Kinda hard to teach that to kids. We were bastards who went around the world and killed hundreds of millions cos we wanted stuff to sell for money through our "trading companies". America is built on a genocide. Africa is still recovering from the colonial "scramble". The death toll of British rule in India alone is estimated to be 35m through man made famines. We were monsters in the name of capitalism. But that's not really important.

Really the one rule to stick by is "don't be a fascist". If that's too hard, just "Don't be a racist". That'll do.

Be nice to people regardless of whether they are in some sort of constructed out group. Work to make the world a better place for everyone, not a chosen few. That we can all agree on if we really think about it. Don't get dragged into protesting a protest. Agree that fascists are bad. Because they are. Agree that protesting them is right, because we fought a big massive war doing just that and pretty much everyone agrees that was ok.

No they are not, I told you that Antifa wouldn't even exist if the nazi movement wasn't to be on the rise so they will never be equal, they never were.
Fascists do NOT advocate for equal rights, nazi ideology doesn't want a fair society where all are equal.

It's very important to understand that as long as a person is "not willing to stand by a side" and labels both extremes as the same, that person is by default more right winged oriented.
Otherwise if you clearly see that the far right is wrong you would never try to justify them nor try to make the other side look equal to them.
If you really find that both sides are equally bad, spend 30minutes on this video which shows how the centrist view is always going to be leaning towards the far right:

So that Spurs fan has been given a 4 year ban and small fine for throwing a banana on the pitch. Heard no mention of this anywhere and had to google it to see if he had even been charged. That Liverpool fan that shouted the same thing at Ashley Young, also heard nothing about that. The Chelsea fan on the other hand, who hasn't even been proven what was said yet has apparently already lost his job and his name and face being plastered on every form of media about. Can't help but feel Chelsea get so much more hard done by than other fans.

Watched the video for 15 minutes and didn’t get it.

You win fella. Obviously I’m a thick, uneducated racist idiot.

It such boring tripe when folks use Red Fascists to say sh*T like "communism kills"

Well, Capitalism kills too, and still does to this day.  20 million a year, currently. let alone exploitation of third world countries, destroying the planet, etc.  It's like the line of "good people on both sides" when discussing what happened in Charlottesville, USA earlier when a girl was run over by a Right Wing Extremist (who thankfully has since got jail time, but we've not heard the "good people" crew denounce him).

As I think you stated before, AntiFa is anti fascist. No Fascism, no need for them to exist.

Had to correct your error.

Left wing means big government and anti-freedom

Right wing small government and pro-freedom

Still no news regarding lipreading analysis.

It would suit the club, the EPL, and the blokes employers ( BT), if the lipreaders unequivocally judged that the bloke said “ black ....”

Then they would be vindicated in taking away his season ticket and more tragically for the man concerned a means of providing for his family.

This protracted silence tells me that there has been no such confirmation as a result of the investigation.

So the fellas been thrown on the human scrapheap for what- having an angry face and calling a pampered football a Manc?

There will be no reinstatement of his season ticket or his job, no grandiose public apology, because no doubt it will be seen as sending out the wrong message.

Makes me sick.

Edit: I’ve done my bit Chelsea wise over the years and go on a when it suits me basis now, but this whole charade makes me less inclined to go. I’m sure I’m not alone on this.

Those Anitfa idiots are as bad as the Fascists, any extremists are dangerous morons. they have decided they are judge, juror and executioner and use violence to stop something they oppose, the same as any other extremists yet claim to be in the right....the same as any other extremists. Violence will always only ever lead to more violence.

On lunchtime BBC news they said the judge did not believe the claim that the chap thought he was throwing a cup instead of a banana.

Throwing a Banana skin at a black player on the pitch is just about as racist as you can be in a football ground.

It would of made a great incident for the media to run their anti-racism campaign.

Rio Ferdinand, lip reader extraordinaire, Dec 2nd (Banana incident) no mention of it on his twitter, on the day or in the following days.

Dec 8th (chels v man city) Ferdinand lip reads the Chelsea fan and starts the whole process running.

If i was the fan who lost his job for shouting Manc c**t, i would be getting some serious lawyers behind me and going after Ferdinand.

It suits their agenda for the truth to never be known unfortunately, therefore it will be hidden away and never mentioned.
