From listening to the Matt Law podcast yesterday, the deal is done. The final thing is literally the transfer of money and that’s the reason it hasn’t been announced. Announcement is due 24-48 hours though

So all officially done, finalised on Monday (whatever that means).

I hope we now go through a lovely process of binning of the dross and properly rebuild the squad with Gallagher, gilmour, colwill, vale etc fed into the first team squad to replace the departing sh*te, with 2 or 3 transfer additions at most

Mr Boehly....build us a large shed end....only for chelsea fans....standing....thank you

Put the away support back in the East Upper or lower completely ruined the atmosphere putting them in the Shed. I'm trying to think are we the only club to put the away fans in what was traditionally the main home end. Leeds for example having fans at both ends has made it easily the best atmosphere in the league.

Most away fans are stuck behind a goal, those are the cheaper seats. We can't go upper tier due to PL regulations and east lower means away fans are next to our players warming up / on the bench. Feel like we moved the away fans because the players/coach asked for it.

Unfortunately the shed is the least worst option. MHL is where the atmosphere has come from even when the shed end was full of Chelsea.

Whichever of the stands that is developed first put 3 tiers on it and shove the away fans up in the gods like Barca do.

Something that came out while talking with my wife and to what I haven’t got a clue what the answer is, are the whole £4.5b going to the charity? Roman can’t receive a penny from the sale, is it the entire amount going to the charity or is partly going to a frozen account until the ban is lifted? If £4.5b are going to the charity, that is just amazing from Roman. According to the Wikipedia the PIB of the Ukraine is 66b, 4.5b would be almost 7% of the country’s PIB.

No

Frozen account until the UK government are satisfied the charity that is set up will not benefit Roman and will go to the war victims.

Final sale amount is not 4.5bill, the total investment is 4.25bill but that is not the purchase price.

It is reported the purchase price is 2.5bill, that is going to the charitable foundation that is being set up via the frozen account.

The 1.75bill is what Roman had the new owners commit to investing in the club, the stadium, men's and women's sides, academy and Chelsea Foundation.

His owed 1.6mill debt has now somehow been written off.

Ok thanks! Still, £2.5b is quite a generous sum to go to war victims, which is great and not mentioned enough in my opinion.

I don’t want the away fans up with the gods as that kills the atmosphere, but having them occupying half of the shed end is really annoying. put them in the east stand, and change the bench sides if they are annoying our bench. Or get them in the West stand, where they are more distant from the pitch.

Still the only club to put the away fans in what used to be the main home end. Mourinho apparently got them moved because he couldn't handle the piss taking. Several grounds where the away support aren't behind the goal Wolves, Leicester (to the side), Man United, Leeds, Newcastle, Villa, Everton, Brentford as Leicester, Palace, Norwich who will be replaced by Bournemouth

At least at Leicester, Newcastle and Utd I’ve been in the goal end, though upper stand and can’t swear that we had fans in the lower stand by the pitch in the goal end, but I thought that we did.

Away fans went behind the opposite goals on many grounds in the 70s and 80s. United used to have the pens in the scoreboard end. More unusual though was Burnley who used to house both home and away fans on the terrace alongside the pitch.   Even better when you used to be able to swap ends at halftime, without going across the pitch.

So as Monday is the day now apparently what do we think will happen on Monday?

A standard announcement with an interview with the Todd?

The above plus a statement of intent? Something like Todd with Mase, Reece and Kante holding new deals?

Or maybe Todd with a couple of new signings?

Both? Neither?

Or how about a video of Todd punting Lukaku out the door? That would be pretty nice.

I guess it will be a formal press conference where we hear about matters on going.

It’s possible that they will press the button re season ticket renewals and as soon as possible you will get a drip feed of matters

It will be a step by step process where we get fed positives day on day as opposed to one big splurge

1) Thank you and good bye to Rudiger, not so much about Christensen ( don’t be surprised if this story hasn’t run it’s course)

2) Will will hear about several departures some not a surprise, others will come from the oh . Tunchal will have his list of players to keep and players not.
3) You may hear about one signing this week but a lot of talking will have taken place with the new owners so much of the groundwork will have already been done

4) It will be likely 12 months before we hear much about formal planning but we might get a flavour of what they are looking at as opposed to press speculation

Statement from Roman on the official website:

It has been nearly three months since I announced my intention to sell Chelsea FC. During this time, the team have worked hard to find the right custodian for Chelsea FC that would be best positioned to successfully lead the Club into its next chapter.
The ownership of this Club comes with great responsibility. Since I came to Chelsea nearly twenty years ago, I have witnessed first-hand what this Club can achieve. My goal has been to ensure that the next owner has a mindset that will enable success for the Men’s and Women’s team, as well as the will and drive to continue developing other key aspects of the Club, such as the Academy and the vital work of Chelsea Foundation.

I am pleased this search has now come to a successful conclusion. As I hand over Chelsea to its new custodians, I would like to wish them the best of success, both on and off the pitch.

It has been an honour of a lifetime to be a part of this Club – I would like to thank all the Club’s past and current players, staff, and of course fans for these incredible years.

I am proud that as a result of our joint successes, millions of people will now benefit from the new charitable foundation which is being established. This is the legacy which we have created together.

Thank you.

Not Kante! Unless it’s on a lot less money.
