I agree that it would be nice if they gave a general statement including their plans. Don’t know about Tuchel, who has done well imo but, if they don’t back Emma Hayes and the women team who have won all in England, I’d be worried.

I think there may be few gigs in the women's game here to tempt EH, but a Lyon or someone like that could turn her head. Of course the chance to be the first successful female manager of a EFL male team could be too irresistible for her. I could easily see Emma in League One or League Two.

I hope not simply for the selfishness of us keeping her so we can win the womens CL

I’d give her a crack at the mens team here when Tuchel goes, if she’d be happy to step down a level that is.

24 hours after the deal is final we will see this posted by someone here.

Why haven't we signed anyone yet?  Anyone else worried the new owners won't be spending on new players?

Well there it is

As a Chelsea fan, whenever other sides were linked with our best (aside from Real Madrid) with Roman it was so easy to laugh it all off. I just hope we can do/feel the same under Boehly, will take a while to establish that feeling. Roman had a presence about him, you could see it whenever players were around him or spoke of him, those stories of flying people over to his mega yacht etc all built up an untouchable kinda mob boss image. Which in turn, fed into how people/players/agents etc viewed the club; it’s left a void that needs filling but obviously in a different way this time.

Why should Stamford Bridge be sold? There's nothing wrong with it. Surely parts can just be redeveloped if they're out of date. It's not like we sell out every week either, average attendance last season was 36,270

The owners can only increase revenue on match days.

That's about 30 odd days a year with good cup runs

that leaves about 330 days a year with that enormous investment standing empty.

I don't care about out of date stands I go for the football . Our stadium is just fine for me

First point isn't true. They can have events on non match days. Stamford bridge currently has all sorts of events happening including corporate functions in the week. A more modern stadium will cater to even more.

You go for the football. But 20000 potential other people are not going each week.

Agree to a point. the revenue from 20,000 would bring in an extra £60m to £80m.per season after billions in outlay and disruption.

the real money is in TV rights, Boehly negotiated an exclusive deal for the Dodgers which brought in mega bucks.

he can't do that in the EPL.

. Mind you the Dodgers tickets prices quadrupled over 10 years, don't know if that's a direct comparison with us because the prices seemed to start at a low base if the cheapest season ticket is now £1,400.  but the inflated cost of the " Westview" experience season tickets shows how us fans can be used to finance the club !

I tend to think " disaster " whenever " my club is in my thoughts, I can't help it  and what a joy it's been the last 20 years to be wrong !

Fans finance every single aspect of the club, even the sponsorship deals, particularly the kit deal.

P.S Are you saying the cheapest Dodgers' season ticket costs the equivalent of £1,400? Remember that they probably get a lot more games for that with each club scheduled to play eighty-one regular season home games a year.

I went to a Dodgers game in 2009. The tickets - in the top tier above home plate - cost $11. Absolute steal. I'm sure they're a lot more expensive now.

Been a fan of baseball since 1976 but have never been to a game. Will go to a London game if The Reds come over.

Too right mate  sponsorship doesn't come as a gift.

Just looked at the Dodgers site. Cheapest season tickets from 1,400 DOLLARS to over 2,000.dollars.

I admit I don't know how MLB season tickets work. I imagine there are different packages available like weekend games only, or perhaps evening games only, but if the £2,000 STs are for all 81 games then that's less per game than most Stamford Bridge STs.

TT could have more spends, as apparently the new regime have just released 100 million of share money to the cause

Well that will help us get a better deal on Kounde or any other player we are after won't won't...

If true we need to learn how to keep these things quite. If not true then more media bs not helping us.

An earlier report said they would spend up to £200m gross. If that report was accurate then it could be they are anticipating £100m to be freed up by outgoing transfers and the full amount to be made up by adding the cash injection.

Yeah pretty impossible to make direct comparisons mate. But 81 games ! Blimey 19 home games is enough for me !

All gone quiet on this thread? Todd hasn't seen the light and done a runner has he.

I’m wondering the same. Gone quiet, no mega signings…empty promises?!
