😂 shoot me but I actually think keown comes across as far more normal and decent than the other two. he’s not wrong and what’s he envious of exactly? Us being 10th in the league and drawing 0-0 with Fulham?  
 

I never watch this stuff, but that Jordan guy is insufferable and highly unpleasant. I wouldn’t trust anything he says either, about Tuchel or otherwise. Probably getting paid. 

He has spend lots but one thing he hasn't not done, is sack Potter.

If this was the Bayern board tonight with all their ex players in the stands, analysing live, in depth tactics as the game was being played, then Potter was in big danger IMHO.

Luckily for him, Boehly and Eghbali probably know nothing about football tactics, nevermind figure out if something is totally wrong as the game unfolds. 

But they might soon get frustrated and start asking questions to the ones that are at the training ground everyday and base their future decisions on what those people have to say about Potter's methods and in game tactics.

Potter better improve his tactics soon or else I can see the owners getting fed up with the poor results and sack him to protect their business.

I think the opposite tbh, especially with the new roles in place at the club, our sporting directors, recruitment analysts and data analysts will all be in his ear for sure. If the average joe on twitter can see poor build up, lack of structure and identity/managerial nous then the new team under Boehly & Eghbali certainly will. Nobody is being paid by Potter when push comes to shove, we have an entire structure of football people chiming in.

Ah well no I would expect they won't be. It has been repeatedly said they see the club and players as investments. No CL is a hit to that investment, as is terrible football. Brands want to be associated with attractive, winning products.

Which is why I think as much as they say potter is long term I am sure in his contract they would put clauses that if they sack him they don’t pay much compensation just like they put the player’s on performance contracts and if you miss these targets your pay gets cut.

Could be. Rumour has it the January signings have wage increase/decrease depending on if we qualify for the CL or not, but the summer ones not supposedly. Given when Potter came in, he may not.

You can learn more about watching two 30 min videos on YouTube, one with Boehly (at the start), and one more recent with Eghbali.  All the nonsense on the pages in this thread are somewhat embarrassing.  To think they know nothing about football, well, sadly it says more about the common football fan than our new owners.  Anyway, the videos bring the following to light:

• The consortium have long sought a team.  The timing of the war/sanctions made Chelsea (what they refer to as a beachhead club) available.  They would have started smaller, but market conditions were favorable
• The immediate component they wish to address is referred to as "content" and "intellectual property, or IP"
• The content is what we see on the pitch - hence the investment as they feel this needs to be immediately addressed 
• IP will take years, but by their assessment football, and specifically European football is 20 years behind US sporting models.  This is simply from a content and IP standpoint - not based on history, emotion or whatever else you want
• Examples given are simply the NFL at $5.9B per year from a fanbase of 200 million.  They reference 4 billion football fans, yet premier league tv deal worth around $2B a year.  Keep in mind, the NFL is about to increase to $10B per year.  The hard truth for die hard fans is 95% of a clubs fans reside outside the home league
• They are actively seeking additional clubs to add to portfolio, and reference the City and RB models.  We've invested now, but the goal is spend less earlier and use the feeder clubs to develop talent and reduce transfer fees, or sell
• Make no mistake, other clubs are coming after the PL.  The owner of AC Milan noted that continental European clubs are considering a super league without PL clubs due to lack of support - that would be some tough competition
• The "Americans" get laughed at for suggesting all star games, but I can promise you the world wants to see a PL allstar vs La Liga or elsewhere.  The power lies with the clubs and players, rather than the league or FA.  The example given is MLB which generates $2-300M on a Monday night for an allstar game - easy change

Truthfully, the hardest part of all this is reluctance to change.  Whether we like it or not, things will change, especially as clubs wrestle power from FIFA, UEFA, FA or PL.  I don't know if that is for the better, but if I use the existing model of the FA Cup or Carabao Cup, they don't carry the same magic for me as they once did.

The owners don't really have the emotional connection to the club we also want - it is business to them.  I don't think they lucked their way into the worlds richest list, but I may be wrong.

Having said all that, can our team score some damn goals please!

Yep, even if we stayed within regulations, they’ll find something to hit the club with! Or just make something up like that ‘granting a special license last year’!

The FA/government probably looked through our accounts rigorously since we were sanctioned last Spring. If they found anything the sale probably wouldn't of happened, or we would of been charged already.
