February 18, 20233 yr Quite a job the owners have done. Spent 600mill and managed to take a top 4 side who were former European and remaining world champions and take us to where we are now.
February 18, 20233 yr If Todd's been listening will you please ask him to bring this man back @Munkworth
February 18, 20233 yr Seems to me the fans have three choices, accept the situation and just hope Potter turns out around. Heavily protest for Potter out and see if it changes Boehly and Co's minds. Or the nuclear option and I believe this is the most effective tool for getting your point across. #Boehlyout, the point isn't that they necessarily want him out but if he's led to believe the fans have turned on him it's a self preservation situation. Hypothetically keeping Potter around becomes less important and the need to appease the fans and their backing which he currently has started to lose anyway becomes way more pressing. Early days for the latter option, I do fear aside from actual protests and walkouts there isn't much the fans can do to get the point across Potter isn't wanted (by the majority of fans). Its so sad because no matter how bad it got at Chelsea FC I've never once wanted a manager fired. How times have changed and it only took the new ownership 6 months to undo everything Abramovich had built. The more they choose to be stubborn the more fan wrath they risk. I think Potter is really in the red zone now, he can still turn it around. However, many fans like me will die on the hill the appointment should have never been made and that's he's not good enough. Prove us wrong Potter for your sake I hope you do it soon because its going to get ugly if the results and performances carriy on this way. Boehly if you randomly read this, swallow your pride and accept humbly you made a mistake. How you chose Potter over Poch is already my first red flag.

February 18, 20233 yr In my opinion mr Boehly and co most probably are aware by now that Potter was a poor choice. However, its a difficult decision to make firing Potter for a couple of reasons: 1. They probably are proud people and dont want to admit their mistake just yet 2. Potter hasn't had a full season and getting rid off him now means that their long term project idea wasn't real 3. Who there is available to replace Potter that is a yes man, easy going, experienced and become a success? 4. The cost to fire Potter at this stage and hire a new manager, assistant etc will come at a tremendous cost. In saying that they are business people too and work in finance. At some point you need to cut your losses and accept that you are on a loosing trade. I believe they will give Potter until end of the season and than get a replacement on no longer than a 3 year contract.
February 19, 20233 yr tb is destroying our club sacked tuchel and hired a awful manager and one thing that worries me a lot is the length contract that we give to our players only reece james deserve this type of contract I read that he plans give 7 years to mount and he gived 6 years to cucurella and 5 years to koulibaly how we will sell both? bad decisions after bad decisions and I feel afraid of our future, tbh Edited February 19, 20233 yr by Mário César

Says Potter has won 9 or his 22 league games - current win% therefore 41% That means he needs to win the next 3 to catch up with Alex Ferguson (arguably the best manager ever) who won 12 of his first 25 with Man Utd - 48% If Potter wins the remaining 16 league games - his win% will leap to 66% If Potter's win% is measured from the time he had some of our star players available (say the WHU game) and he wins his remaining 16 matches his win% will be 94%! Which confirms statistics are complete bllox and may explain why Todd didn't pay much attention to them 😁 Just watch the football. We’re beyond useless. Fire him
February 19, 20233 yr Go and get Zidane. Get some one with some presence and guts. We need a strong leader ASAP

February 19, 20233 yr Not sure what Simon Phillips sources are or if they are accurate but he said apparently Tuchel "didn't communicate enough" not sure what that means.
February 19, 20233 yr Boehly needs to understand that coaching a top football team is a full team job for two people LOL. You simply don't have the scope to do a load of corporate tasks and "communication" outside of the basic remit. If you do, then performance and results will suffer, as we are seeing right now.

February 19, 20233 yr I don’t think he’s going to get fired. He’ll get minimum until the end of the season. Unless things get extremely bad like we lose our next 3 games.

I think he will be given until end of the season too, but i would be extremely surprised if they haven't started to search and analyse new candidates. The spurs game is vital for Potter, where I think we will win not due to Potter but players will be highly motivated to win a london derby.
February 19, 20233 yr Silence from Boehly is deafening. Players usually turn up for the Spurs game, just like the CL knock out games. Spurs haven't been great, but the way they play is perfect against us, they could only have 25% possession and beat us 4:1. Conte still holds grudge against us, he won't take it easy this weekend.

Didn't they only recently let it be known the back Potter and believe in him? Should they do that after every loss or draw? They would be awfully busy lol

February 20, 20233 yr Apparently a protest is going to happen this Wednesday outside Stamford Bridge. Not sure why this Wednesday, is Boehly going to be around that day or something?
