February 6, 20233 yr Why is anyone wanting to bring us into it, its nothing to do with spending too much money or who the owner is, its because they have falsified financial reporting, there is 0 evidence we have ever done this. We are as much in the firing line as any other premier league club.
February 6, 20233 yr It is all a bit funny really. They see our spending and think we must be cheating, ignoring the fact what we are spending is the investment from the new owners. New owners everyone in the league so desperately wanted us to have, without knowing these new owners would clear the club's debt and start anew as if Roman never left. Careful what you wish for. We are even spreading our investment through lengthy contracts to comply with FFP and have built the income/sponsorship side of things more organically. City, for the past 10 years, ignored FFP and lied.

Debatable. If anything, I have found City's dominance to be the most boring era of Premier League football, to the point where I find myself watching less of it. I don't really find it entertaining seeing the top team in the league finish with 90+ points in every season. It used to be a one in five seasons kind of thing, but the last 5 out of 6 seasons the winners have ended the season on over 90 points. It's become normal and from my point of view, it's damaged the competitive feeling the Premier League used to have. I used to watch the league leaders play a mid table team anticipating the chance of an upset, today though, I don't even bother to tune in because I know the team at the top will come out with the win. I also don't really believe City is the reason the Premier League is so good and the most followed, this was always the case before City started dominating.

There are consistently 5 or 6 clubs with more followers on social media than City, we are one of them. But City somehow make a tonne more revenue... The PL is successful in spite of City.

The fact that they have just been charged by the Premier League makes me question anything related to City from a financial point of view.

To be fair that isn't just becuase of money, United have spent similar amounts these past 5 years. Guardiola's teams are just really good at breaking low blocks against smaller teams, it's the Champions League where they struggle.

February 7, 20233 yr Surely the admin and books would have been looked over closely before Boehly took over, so the new ownership were starting on a clean slate pretty much.
February 7, 20233 yr Rumors of a whistleblower. Also rumors City being relegated is a genuine and probable consideration.
