November 10, 20232 yr Appears we don't have anything to worry about regarding this PL vote to block multi club loans.

Boehly is an unmitigated disaster that has crippled the club loading the team with so many untalented young players rather than trying to build a competitive team. It's unfortunate that we were the unlucky sods that got stuck with him imagine if he bought Tottenham or Liverpool we'd have been so lucky, one less rival and we'd have picked up Kane, Son, Allison, Salah or Van Dijk for peanuts because they're over 23 years old. Maybe even hired Klopp after Todd sacked him after a few weeks and replaced him with Gerrard or Gary O'Neil for the project. Probably would have got £80m off them for Chalobah too. Boehly being so bad is why people miss Roman, I miss him more now than when he was forced to sell. We had it good even better than we thought. He's clearly building a squad ready to dominate in 2 years time. Instant success wasn't the immediate aim, long term sustainability is.

November 13, 20232 yr In 5 years time, we may well be saying that Clearlake are the best owners we've ever had ... Promising signs recently ... They've upped the standard of the website, app, and social media communication to such an extent that I no longer bother with Newsnow Chelsea and associated "sources".

I'm not saying they're terrible and I'm not saying they're great. I'm simply waiting to see if their gamble works out. I'm willing to give them a chance, I feel like too many people give in to media pressure and rival opinions on these owners. I was extremely critical of their summer transfer window, on top of sacking Tuchel and replacing him with Potter on a silly contract. But I'm still willing to give them a chance. Our sales last window were A+, to move on so many surplus to requirement players on big contracts was pure genius on their end. They don't get enough credit on that. As for who they've signed, well so far so good IMO. Since January I've been impressed with their singings but it's still early days. The one thing I do like about them is that Todd is not what I expected. I thought it would be another Malcolm Glazer or Stan Kroenke who you never see but always hear about because they couldn't give a flying f**k about their clubs. Todd in fairness, has been extremely passionate about the club, he's taken a lot of criticism from fans personally when he's attended games but he's still showing his face. The best thing we can do right now is just wait it out and see where we are next season.

I hope we’re higher up the table than now when it does or we could be at risk of going down. And is there any precedent for removing honours? I’m sure the rest of football and the press would love to scratch off a few of our trophies.

November 15, 20232 yr I wonder if the reason why they binned off all of the existing management infrastructure was so they could make this statement honestly. Also - hardly a shocking revelation that transfers relating to Anzhi in 2013 might be dodgy. Could be a great start to Clearlake's record at Chelsea with minus four Premier League titles! A Chelsea FC spokesperson said: “These allegations pre-date the club’s current ownership. They are based on documents which the club has not been shown and do not relate to any individual who is presently at the club.” Edited November 15, 20232 yr by PloKoon13 Formatting

Hopefully the BBC will also be asking why the £2.5 billion from the government-enforced CFC sale is still sat in a UK bank account ...

November 15, 20232 yr Quote A Chelsea spokesperson said: "These allegations pre-date the club's current ownership. They are based on documents which the club has not been shown and do not relate to any individual who is presently at the club." The spokesperson said during the purchase of the club the current owners became aware of "potentially incomplete financial reporting concerning historical transactions during the club's previous ownership". They added: "Immediately following the completion of the purchase, the club proactively self-reported these matters to all applicable football regulators. "In accordance with the club's ownership group's core principles of full compliance and transparency the club has proactively assisted the applicable regulators with their investigations and will continue to do so." This probably explains why Clearlake immediately eliminated everyone involved with the former regime last summer. The undeclared fees are definitely an eyebrow raiser, particularly the ones' that are allegedly linked to men close to Putin, but dodgy commissions with image rights, consulting fees, third parties, etc happens all the time. Given the fact Clearlake had no knowledge of the evidence disclosed by the Cyprus Investigation, I can't see the FA implementing a points deduction on that basis.

The BBC article from yesterday and the Newsnight programme is not really aimed at anything to do with Chelsea. It is being used as evidence to claim that Abramovich had financial activities that were linked to Putin. Something Roman has always denied.

A wonderful performance, the first very good performance of the season imo and a world apart from how poor we were against Arsenal (though people pretended we played well that game as well) but that doesn't invalidate the criticism of the ownership or the squad building. 10th after 12 games is still a very poor start to the season and a lot of work has to be done we're on as poor a run at home as I can remember. November 15, 20232 yr 6 hours ago, Sconnie Blue said: Definitely the international break. I don’t know what if anything will come if this (or of similar related situations at Everton or City), but the fact that the Guardian and others are reporting this during an international break surely doesn’t mean it’s just fabricated or of absolutely no possible concern to us does it? The current owners seem to think there’s something in it by declaring some of it to the FA as soon as they took control. And I wonder if saying “it was the Russian fellas fault” will be enough for the FA to say ‘yeah, forget about it’. Having said that, I fancy the FA will not hit us too hard (if at all) as relegating Chelsea, City and Everton would not best please the broadcast right holders around the globe. Maybe 6 point deductions in a season or two that leave us with work to do for a European spot, see Everton in the bottom half as usual and City only winning the title by a 15 point margin.
November 15, 20232 yr Many sources reporting Everton WILL be hit with -12 deduction this week. Placing them bottom of the league with 2 points. See a few suggestions that, as we have more breaches reported than them, and in different t areas as well, a points deduction is very likely and would be "far larger" than Evertons.
November 15, 20232 yr Lawyers up and drag it as long as it takes, it's the same situation and story from the last football break 😗 I dare to say if one digs up a decade of transfer business, could find dirt on any top level clubs and make a case out of it. It's ironic people don't talk about City anymore after they lawyer up with the best, at one stage one would believe they will be stripped off all trophies and sent down the tiers to play with Wrexham

No way our owners have made a plan to deal with that sort of Financial hit, as it is a second year of no champions league is set to be an issue, bit a season of no PL cash and the pennies Championship sides get? We would breach football league FFP for sure and end up getting hit by them. We have seen how clubs like Derby have received heavy points deductions there.
